Christmas Baskets
a beginning...
I have really have enjoyed making these Gwen Marston's Liberated Baskets blocks....
for my little wall hangings...
The first one I made I donated to the Facility where my Mom was housed her last years for auction to benefit the Arts and Crafts Group that Mom liked to work in at the nursing home...

The 2nd one is this one,
which now hangs over my wine chest in our dining room,
I am going to use the leftovers from #3 (above) to make another Christmas themed one;
that is the fun part of these, the pieces you cut off make new baskets
you can then use to make another piece...

On the home front :
Our refrigerator died last night......
we had not the first idea that there was even a problem;
and by the time we noticed it
(when I was getting a glass of milk before bed at 11 last night)
all the food and freezer items had spoiled...
So, we spent about 2 hours emptying and heaving out food....
AND...........
Today we went on an epic journey to find a new fridge...
In our area there are big box stores
(Lowes and Home Depot and Best Buy) and
only one small "Mom and Pop" appliance store...
We needed a counter depth fridge to fit our
small space....
AND to top everything off...
We were told by all the big box stores that no delivery was available
until June 20th!!
No way was that going to work for us...;0000!!!
SOOOO
After going back and forth all morning and half the
afternoon...
we finally found that one remaining small store that even
carried counter depth fridges to fit our small
space...
We did find a replacement on sale and
they will deliver tomorrow...
thank heavens for small businesses...
So I guess all's well that ends well...
I am glad that we purchased this before these crazy tariffs
have gone into effect...
Nuff said...;ooo
Hugs to everyone.
