IS IT SOUP YET?

                 Stone Soup blocks are all sewn into "bowls" now;
I am looking for setting ideas and eye-balling fabrics...
                                and thinking to myself that
                                  this looks like Borst Soup...

                        { "Imagination is funneee.." songs again;))) }

I think you float sour cream on top...???
NOW....there is a challenge to depict that
in trim, which is one of our Stone Soup rules
--maybe in my Crazy Quilt basket
I can come up with something...

Maybe this fabric laying there will be the "tablecloth"????

and this:
                                              For the borders....
a country print that uses some coordinating colors.

And I'd like to include this one--
altho' the color is not in the same family--
                                                        but ..."I like it"..;)))

On the diamond Painting front:

Sunflowers is coming along pretty well...
only about 1/8th more to go....

******************************************
My Hubby cooked his homemade spaghetti sauce
and we ate an early dinner -- @1:00
It was especially good as i haven't eaten any
REAL CARBS (!)
all week long on my lo-carb journey.
I have lost 4 lbs (+/-) ;)))
And am taking today and SuperBowl Sunday
off...

I leave you hoping you are having a wonderful
sewing day or crafting or reading or
whatever you really want to do...

RAINING SNOWBALLS

          Pondering new combos here....and ,
solid or not, I want a scrappy look...
                                            thinking more black right now.....

All lined up to do flippies...only 2 at a go
so when i am ready to

                                iron the corners and

                                    then trim them up

I won't hurt my hands with the rotary work....
[These are not really pink as they appear, but
a purple sort of mottled  -- not truly a solid,
but I don't have many solids on hand so, make do, use it up
RIGHT?]

Here they look like purple-y grape they are...yum;))

************************************************
                               On the Stone Soup recipe......

I am getting those ingredients mixed together...........
And..........
According to the rules I will need to add some kind of trim to my
soup bowls...something to ponder..........
************************************************
And last but not least--my Sunflower progress....

What appear to be white dots are the sparkley bits...I am really loving the
warmth of this one...maybe 2/3rd done...

when my hands get too sore from rotary work or hand sewing
[and not to mention-- my falling down the grandstand over the
weekend at my grandson's B-Ball game right on my
"good hand" and wrist, knee and back!!],
                                                            {s i g h },😢
I move over to diamond painting work...
I love seeing how the image
emerges with each added row...
***************************************
I worked in 20 minute sessions on the sewing and ironing and cutting after coming home from my early morning weekly shopping--
I wanted to get my errands done before the B I G   R A I N S
hit this afternoon....
We have been having  weird weather this year so far....
Frigid temps to balmy 40's and 50's  and back again..
a see-saw of conditions........

IS IT SOUP YET?

                               From these ingredients...

                                        Emerged these
                                  BUT............it's not Suppe yet...
                                         still simmering...

             ["Julierose is makin' stone soup;
              Dicing the veggies she got from the group;
Are you all wonderin' what will be in her pot?
                                  WELL......
You'll just have to stay tuned
             To see what she's wrought."]

               This is only step one...........;)))

 *******************************************

On the reading front a new series to me...an absolutely hilarious and
charming read...I highly recommend this book.....

Look at this lovely bookmark that Jacky made
                            for me....
                                            love it, Jacky...💓💜
********************************************
My latest Diamond Painting --also simmering...
a cheery Sunflower for these cold, gray days....

I slept in this morning until 8:45--thanks to staying up with a sinus drip cough
until 2:00 a.m. ;000

Eventually, I gave in and took an Allegra and then
I actually fell asleep in my chair reading...and so to bed....
**************************************************

Off to do some errands today before the snow begins..........
it is quite chilly and windy outside today and looks like
tomorrow will be a snow-out...or icey rain-out
...dicey (hahaha get it??) weather, anyway....
