AND THEN aka IMPROV

While going through my quilting library--I came across my old favorite....
One of the very first quilting books i purchased....
(and of course, you know I am stopping to re-read favorite parts during this
re shelving ;))) event)

And then, after a cup of tea and a sit down while looking at my messy
side table heaped with strips and strings ....

this happened......

Since I am in a log cabin frame of mind after finishing my Log Cabin Loonies,
I began sorting strings scattered all over my side table..and just came across these few
fabric strips  left of some of my favorite fabrics...they kinda just fell together....😂

Don't these make cute little scenes----

I think I will title it:         "Winter by the Sea"--

definitely after a storm....
with ocean waves crashing ashore...
 and gusty winds blowing.........
******************************************
Perhaps  my listening to the Shipping Forecast on Youtube to calm myself while
shelving those heavy books, and feeling kinda blue....missing Mom a bit...
and
after watching the Weather and all about the upcoming hurricanes
influenced my eyes ---matching these fabrics together out of the
mish-mashed heap that resides on my side table...
AND
my mind jumped ship--so to speak--
AND
these were born...

This sky fabric reminds me of winter skies after blizzards...
Also, we hear that as of tomorrow this little respite of cooler temps will
fade in the onslaught of a new heat and humidity wave --and so I'm dreaming of
cooler temps....

Who knew?  Quien Sabe? Huh???

And so, you never know when serendipity will hit, right? ( I even used my
scissors to trim up the little bits I needed)
And...I really don't know
what this may turn out to be....
but am enjoying this improv moment..

a rare "Time Out Of Mind" moment...
********************************************
Do you ever have something HIT you like this--naturally you have to
"go with the flow" immediately (no, I can't come to the phone!!") and
get it together while the Angel of Inspiration is visiting you....;}}}

and so, this is my little tale for THIS quiet Sunday...
*******************************************
Today's menu will be Tacos and Refried Beans at noon and
"catch as catch can" for supper....

I HOPE MY ANGEL VISITS YOU TODAY, TOO...;*}}}}

Hugs to you all,
