CRUMB-ING et al

My first round of green crumb blocks.
{Click to enlarge}

I sewed them into one big
vertical block,
 and
then sub-cut it into 2.5"
strips,
and
then into squares,
and
then separated them with this
lovely  pink hand dyed fabric that
has been languishing in my
stash forEVER :)))

The strips are not sewn
together as yet; just in
a holding pattern until
I can decide what I want
to do with them????
[They could also be sewn into
one long border strip...]

My strains have begun to heal
so that I can move around
more now--
thankfully;))

Tom took me for a ride to
get McCoun apples--
( I am planning on a fresh
apple pie for the weekend)

--and then I sat here
and read
↧↧↧
in our favorite walking park
while he took his
walk for the day...

It was so wonderful to get OUT
and ABOUT a bit...even if
I couldn't as yet join in
on that
walk...
Soon I hope....

I am calling this diamond painting:
"I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus"
I really love how it is
coming out.

HUGS FROM THE HEATING PAD

Finally, I got this one
sewn together....

S  I  G  H...
👏😓😥

{I am getting VERY IMPATIENT
with this sciatica and my
strained ankle, calf and glutes
YA THINK???
PT was a real
bust for me....
😰😱}

I don't know if Autumn Bounty
could use a border
or not, but that will have to wait until
I can be up and cutting once more.
****************************

AND
I have been working on my
scrappy stash bags with tiny
bits and pieces and narrow strings...
little by very little...
↓↓↓↓
Sorted by color;
just a few little blocks at a time
and then sewn together--
 higgeldy-piggeldy..;)))
Not trimming as yet...

I have no idea how I will use
these crumb blocks, but
I figure that
they are better sewn
together instead of all in a
big MISH-MASH in
plastic baggies...
and my meds make it
difficult to come to
any decisions anyway lately...😨

Here is my working station so
I don't have to get up and
down frequently...
And so it goes.

T H E N

This Christmas diamond painting
is coming together slowly also...
5-10 minutes here and there...

And
I almost have that top
quarter section done...

You can just make out the
Santa underneath that
parchment paper..
[you can enlarge photos if you are
interested].
**********************
Still on resting the injured
leg and trying to walk just a
little bit with a cane to
relieve the swollen
ankle.

BEGINNING A JOURNEY

These are SOME
of my scraps that
I have weeded out from
my stash and bins..
[I actually have more]
BUT
Today I began
WITH THESE
on:

"THE INCREDIBLE CRUMB JOURNEY"
{T I C J }

Pieces (smaller than chunks)
and many strips
will be sewn together
two
by
two
to begin...
↓↓↓↓
I have so many pretty leftover strips
and "cut offs"...
I plan to
make
me
some
crumb
blocks.
:)))

Tomorrow I will pull some more
baggies of scraps to
add to this main
B A G
***********************
On a side note, I was looking through
my little accessories container that
came with my sewing machine
and found this strange looking foot...

Guess what?
It is a 1/4" foot
It doesn't have a very long guide
but it works and if I click my
needle over 2 stops
I can get a scant 1/4".

😨
Did I buy this and forget about it?
 Y I K E S !!
Did it come with the machine ?
It is not listed in my booklet
on the Foot listing page...

At any rate, I have tested it
and I will have to sew a bit
more slowly, but
I will definitely be using this..

WHO KNEW???

[file under DUH]
😵😮

*************************
I will also be working on a
Suprise!!!
quilt
for some family members
{who read my blog},
SO...........
I cannot as yet
show it here...

It involves a panel
(36" by 40")
for the front...
and
I have set up the
back pieces to be cut
for tomorrow....
