SMALL, SMALLER, SMALLEST

Dolly Quilt No 1..

I am making two little dolly quilts for
my granddaughters, Willa and Fiona,
for them to play with their "stuffies"--
[teddy bears and stuffed animal collections]

And here is Dolly Quilt No 2↧↧↧↧
I had these leftover little hourglass triangles
cut out of scraps with my Go! Baby
die cutter and thought they would make
cute small pieces...

I especially love how the little girls
at teatime
just peek out
this one all hatted up, too..;)))

These will be the centers and I will border them
log cabin style;
one in light blue and the other in lilac
the girls' favorite colors...

Mean w h i l e....
Courthouse Steps is taking a bit of a rest;
as I have a very sore neck and shoulders
after sewing all but the last long row
together...

This will be a very
L O N G  T E R M
project.
I still have to decide if it needs borders;
and I have to make the backing...

I really appreciate all your input and comments
about this project...

Thanks to all of you who sent me encouraging
comments and emails...💃💞💞💞💫

It is so wonderful to have such a fantastic resource
in our blogging community...

Soooooooooo,

I have decided NOT to take it all apart
and to forge ahead...
Come what may....
Wish me luck....
{and who knew that heavier quilts make for better sleep?}

File under Monday Baking:
Hmmm, what is cooling down
underneath this towel?
Gosh, it sure smells
heavenly....

A lovely, plump banana nut bread
just right for our afternoon teatime.
A Treat...

THE END IS REALLY THE BEGINNING...

I had just one more row to sew
WHEN..

"This is SO HEAVY", I said to Tom

He hefts it up

"You should weigh it" he suggests

Already 2.4 lbs!!
And this is without backing or binding...;0000

Way (WEIGH) too heavy;
We would be all achey after a
night under this....;000

                                                             I am re-folding it up....

                                                                                AND..

It is hanging in my closet
Until I can take it

ALL

APART
(WAH)

and decide what
to do
with these
BLOCKS.....

ALL
80
EIGHTY
of them!!

And so the end is really only the
beginning.....

FRIDAY'S BRAIN FOG, et al

                 ↻↻↺↺↻↻ My brain during corona virus...↺↺↺↻↻↻
                                        No kidding either!!

It has been raining all night and extremely windy here...
that constant wind sound has me on edge....

So..................

After having finished Kimmi's hand quilting this week,
Today I began working on↦↦↦↦↦↡↡↡
                        my February Orange Ojos Improv piece....
                                                  ↶↶↶↶↷↷↷
                                      On my lap right now....
                                                    ;)))

  I am using this lovely Valdani thread, a light peach-ey color
                 and doing my usual big stitching...

Winds around 30 mph hoping we don't lose power...
as I am simmering my homemade bean soup for tonight's dinner...
and I also baked homemade croutons from our leftover bread crusts
to go with it...

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&     and
This morning I practiced flute;
and
then went into the Inner Sanctum
hahaha to do a bit of sewing...
and
I made 3 more Courthouse Steps
(CS ) blocks...cutting strips as I went along...

[Enough for one day with laundry and regular chores...]
