No-Mo-Mojo

I've been doing this ↑↑↑↑
now and then..
.
working on this top border of
Night Flight...

I have to yet figure out how
to put the 3 sections
together
πŸ‘€πŸ˜§
this will be new for me...as
the backing is already quilted
to all the layers...
OOpsey!!!!
I FORGOT that I've never done
it this way before--
I am blaming
Covid Brain Fog....

*************************
Tom and I watched the Bah'rain  (sp?)
Grand Prix car race this
morning and now the
Red Sox are on...
A real rainy day theater...

Watching from my
recliner
all quilted up
;)))
*******************
Tonight is Slo-Cooker
Pot Roast with
boiled potatoes, gravy
and string beans...

**********************
Thanks to all of you who wondered
why I haven't posted for a bit...
I just need a few days away
from sewing, I guess...

176 GEESE QUILTED et al

Tah-Dah!
I finished the hand
quilting yesterday!
Just in time for Spring to arrive..

These were the last few I finished...

And here is the back
A lovely panel
with my
geese
flying through the
trees
I just love this look...

Next....
I have set up the
front (geese side) top
Moon and Birds border
to be layered and
quilted
I have just enough of that
feathers fabric to back
the top border

When done it will look like this

This was taken December 24th...
After the three sections were
sewn...
So that is when the central
section quilting began...
and I chose to do Quilt as You Go.

************************
And so...
 The Vernal Equinox has arrived!
Certainly not outside as yet--still
very cold and very windy...
Spring by the Sea here...

but
inside
↡↡↡↡
My paperwhites have
begun to emerge...
so dainty and delicate..
harbingers of Spring...

**********************
So, tomorrow, my daughter can
now come and visit us
as we have had our
2nd shots and gone through the
two week waiting period...

We haven't seen her for over a year
now--so we are excited....

I hope you are all well,
full of antibodies
(or getting there)

LOOKING THINGS OVER

My "Girl With Braids"
diamond painting is
coming along really well...
I love the colors in this one...
**************************

Not thrilled with these↑↑↑

NOR

these
↓↓↓↓
This is just not coming
together for me
no matter which way
I sew these String
Tulip SAL blocks.
πŸ‘ΎπŸ’£
;(((

So, I am putting this on the
back burner for now...

**********************
Here are a couple shots of
the reverse of Night Flight's
hand quilting

and
Now, these make me
happy
;)))
πŸ˜‚
and
I am on the last two rows
of hand quilting...
Just a few more geese
to tie down;)))

I am really enjoying working
on this one...

************************
Today is my husband's 82nd birthday;
I am making a celebratory
Roast Chicken dinner
and a banana bread
(in lieu of cake which he
is not overly fond of!)
For him....

I hope you are all healthy
and staying safe.

PAPERWHITES and TULIPS

My little
Paperwhite
kit from Amazon
came in a pot
[the inner plastic one]
that is obviously
W A Y
too small...

SO,
Today
being temperate
and sunny,
repotted them
↧↧↧↧
They are looking a lot more
comfortable
residing in this
pot
along with dried
Iris stems
ready to support
them on
their journey
upwards...
:))))

Definitely looking forward
to Springtime.

*********************
I have joined in with
(click to see info on this)

for her
TULIP SAL;

AND:
with that in mind,

I looked at a lot of tulip
pictures (via google)
and decided that these will
be my inspiration:

and
 and these
I am totally enchanted
with their soft hues...
AND....
Speaking of tulips--
here is a long shot of my son's new kitchen
(FYI--last year their home was
flooded out and they
 are now
re-doing it)

With
More lovely
TULIPS
on display...

*********************
I have begun pulling fabric strips
for the string blocks
section --
{a little late}

And so,
onto a
NEW
JOURNEY

Who knows where
this one will end up?

***********************
I have finished all 18 Wild Garden
spiderweb blocks and
have laid them to rest a bit
to decide how to put them
together...

***********************
For those who so kindly asked
after me--I am feeling just
about back to normal after
my reaction to the 2nd
Covid shot....

AND
By St. Paddy'sDay,
Tom and I will be fully immunized...

In the meantime,,,
we are still wearing masks when out
and also social distancing...

Take care..

HEXAGONIA, et al

Here are the first three
fabrics in my hexagon
QAYG
project.

I will be using all blue
fabrics for the centers.

I am waiting to sew them
together until
I figure out how many I will need
for my project...

This little bluebird
of Spring
makes me smile..

AND
these early Irises
remind me that
Spring is coming...

And

"April in Paris"
French Script
is the main fabric..

I am making one
per day

This will be a table topper
for my living room
glass top round table...

************************
Other good news:
πŸ‘πŸ‘«πŸ‘΄πŸ‘΅
Tom and I got our 2nd
Vaccine shot today
at CVS.

It is such a relief
to have found an appointment
and gotten this done.

Tom, my computer guru,
πŸ‘΄
had
been searching online
every day to find
an earlier appointment
for us than April 2nd;
which was the earliest we
had found in our area...

As soon as this shot has become
effective we will be
able to get out and about
a little...
First on his list is
a PIZZA!!
;)))

I hope you are all well
staying safe and
wearing your
😷😷😷😷
