Yesterday's visit:

Our new little granddaughter with Grand-pere...she is sleeping all day, partyin' all night...haha....

And here is big sister, Fiona, having her snack with Mommy--she had Mommy all to herself for the day
YAY!!  All of a sudden, Fiona looks so grown up now....

Old Fashioned Christmas Part One (RSC13)

Here is my paper pieced block for the RSC13 Red this week--I will make four of these and put the wider edges together and ....voila a Christmas Star will emerge--I hope (LOL); I have been wanting to make a quilt for us for the hoidays...this will be the start.....

I called it "Old Fashioned" as those fabrics go a-ways back to when I first began to quilt.....

MEANWHILE......On the new granddaughter front" 

STILL W A I T I N G .....we think she will have a mind of her own ...Lindsay says that's what she's afraid of...LOL

SNEAKEY SNAKEY--GROWS OVERNIGHT

Look what happened last night!!  My Red RSC13 snakey grew overnight!  It added: (I don't know how I got a double of this one--good ol' Blogger strikes agin'!!)

I managed to see some more progress on my Scrap-a-licious strip quilt blocks, too:

I am really enjoying making these strips--such fun!  Tonight I have a stack of paper backed ones to strip while I watch "Rosemary & Thyme" --a fun PBS series that I missed out on....

A LITTLE RED SNAKEY

FINALLY --A FINISH FOR FRIDAY

TA-DAH:  I have sewn the last hexie on the reverse of my table runner...am glad I chose greens with the pansies...and here is the front/reverse:

This, will be a Springtime table topper I think...NOW to place them together with my accuquilt pre-cut little hexie batting pieces inside and machine embroider....

Also, here is my latest idea for putting my "Sea Glass" blocks together--what do you think???   I haven't ever done cornerstones.......so this will be a measuring/learning process....

And here is a peek of my new handwork project:  I was able to use my accuquilt GO! Baby to cut all the freezer papers and then just ironed them onto the shapes--easy-peasey...love that machine.....

The big hexies are all neutrals and all the fabrics (or most all) are modern (darkish maroons, pinks and some light violets).  A real departure for me...

I am feeling better---if this darn old cough would go away and my other ear would open up!!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend...Quiltingly yours,
