Since we are having record heat
and humidity here, I am
pretty much staying in our AC.
and Stitching...
I began this on Saturday, transferring
it to muslin, and backing it with
SF101 for stitching...
After an early food shopping trip this morning,
(Ai yai yai it was hot in
that parking lot!!)
I continued working on THIS
title for my Christmas Journal..
Here is where I left off today:
The tops and certain parts of these
letters will be filled with white dollops of snow...
And for the first time, I used
some gold metallic thread on the
baubles...
It's no where near perfect stitching--but then
there is no "perfect" around here.;)))
I am trying out new filling stitches
and looking them up and
trying to learn as I go...
So I have the snowflakes and the
little drifts of snow to finish...

This Thursday-- slated to be the
hottest day in this mini heat wave
we are having--
we will be getting
our leaking living room windows
replaced:
Here is what the room looks like
now that Tom took down
the curtains and blinds in
preparation...and moved
the furniture out of the way...
It feels like we just moved in!!!
We will have to turn OFF
the AC--
AND
I know
it will be
HOT HOT HOT
in here.

{S I G H }
This is a big window to be leaking
[both for AC and heat];
and the small window on the right
has failed and mold has begun to
grow on it!!
ACK!!!
πΎπΎπΎ
So it really has to be done
The workers tell us it will be a
half-day job--
Fingers crossed that it will only
take that long...
And that is what is happenin' around
the House on the Hill
today....
Stay cool everyone
and safe....
hugs, julierose,
