Four weeks stitched already!!
Last Fri, Sat, and Sunday...
Friday: trying to look around carefully to really "see"
in order to draw blocks for stitching;
Saturday: Our old rotting apple tree in the backyard
dropping it's apples now in the winds...
Sunday: My last little pot of flowers fading on the
front stoop...
AND:
Today: My own Autumnal Equinox vision:
Sari silk on the left for day and
indgo on the right for night....
It has crossed my mind that perhaps I would not be
continuing this daily exercise in stitching......
I am finding my way slowly into this project...
and seeing that I prefer adding some little
bits of fabric to these tiny blocks to work around
rather than just stitching with that white background!!
Some version of that ubiquitous
"blank page syndrome"
perhaps???

If you will notice, as I moved on
from the first week,
I added background "kantha-like"
stitching behind all the embroideries...
I like that look better than the
starkness of "all white"...
This really is quite the "learning"
process for me;
not only of trying out different stitches
but also of visualizing a daily
overall feeling or happening...
For now, I will be
continuing this journey....

Strange feeling to be "big stitching" this one,
while trying to make smaller, tinier stitches
on my COL;)))...

This morning was my early weekly food shoppingday--prices are only going up, up, up!!!!
so we, as usual, are making the
most of leftovers that we can....
Tonight's dinner will be leftover
Shepherd's Pie from Sunday along
with Ciabatta bread on the side and
applesauce...
It is a partly sunny, windy day here...
at least not as dark and gloomy
as it has been...
