STAR-A-DAY
Here
is
Thursday's
Apple
Star
AND
Here is Friday's Autumnal Star
I am making one star per day; do you have a "routine" that you set up for
repeat blocks?
I really enjoyed figuring out how I wanted to set up the steps
in making these stars....somehow knowing that by heart now, gives me a great
deal of satisfaction and pleasure...
no fiddling about, no wondering "what next".
Just picking the squares, and the center, and deciding the star point colors;
then row by row, always ironing the seams open...and VOILA!! 😻 Instant
happiness and gratification...
I am a person who likes repetition...
I think this must come from my piano background
when I would go over and over a section to get it
just right....maybe??? And never got sick of doing it that way....
My Ojos strip blocks and even log cabins fall right into this method....

In thinking back on my quilt making processes, I see that my choices of blocks
and strips fall on this method of a "routine"; and maybe that is why I've
never made any quilts with all different blocks...
I do think they are beautiful--- like especially:
LORI'S (click to see this beauty ) "Sweet Liberty" quilt.
I am so drawn to this.....
but have never gone down that road...
the closest I've come are the very few applique
pieces I've made .
Soooo, What is your favorite quilt making method (s)??

I hope this wonderful refreshing, cooler weather has come to your home....
hugs for a super weekend....
