Just four more to go! I have 31 finished...loving my Swing Hook a lot...
So for me, it is Christmas in July -- crocheting with the AC on and in the evening watching the Red Sox--but am afraid that..........that ship has sailed!!
Here is what is keeping DH and me busy and a bit tired:
Dog sitting for Libby aka the Liebster! She loves to play in the medium area DH fenced in temporarily for her.
Isn't she a sweetie? how lucky are we...we also dog sat for 'Kota last Saturday...
Being a little older she understands that we retired folks aka the old fogies (LOL)
need to sit and rest a bit....
And despite my Fabric diet here are a few that I HAD to have ........hahaha
AND..............this baby!! LOVE it!!
and (did I post these before??? just thought of that...hmmmm
I just got them because I like them....along with others--talk about a "Binge"....
Hope you are staying cool and having a super Saturday....

SUNDAY "STAR FLOWER" CROCHET
Here's my progress on the crochet "Star Flower" afghan........................
I decided to border it with all the white squares and so...
had to go back to the yarn store and get more white and more mauve.........
When I first chose all the yarn colors I just thought I'd not like the off white at all;
it turns out that it is my favorite ....I really really like the contrast it provides.
I have three blocks more to go...then it's off to the internet to see how to sew
them together....I'd really like it to be flat and without a raised seam on the reverse....hmmmm....
I intend to border it with the multi color (center star flower"Monet") and that border will have to be another step to learn.
So far, so good --no hand or wrist or shoulder problems while crocheting...
Have a great week and hope that the S N O W will miss us!

CROCHET ADVENTURE
Since I can no longer knit (my left thumb with arthritis won't allow it)--last evening I
watched videos from "Annie's Attic" and learned how to crochet. (I think anyway!)
I have decided to make an afghan-- all in double crochet stitch (dc) to practice gauge and tension. I have a couple skeins of hand painted blue yarn (worsted weight or so--can't recall really!!) and a few balls of that luscious Noro variegated yarn leftover from my knitting days.
And so..... I cast on 250 (!!) stitches while watching Poirot on Netflix as my DH was out playing his gig.
Here are a few shots of the colorways in my first ball of the Noro--taupes, ranging to dark
peach and lighter tones.....
I definitely like the feel of crochet...and am hoping that my wrist will cooperate.
this amaryllis that I received for Christmas has finally decided to bloom giving the impression that perhaps, SPRING is a possibility in the not too distant future!!
But, sad to say, I think Mother Nature still has some cold, snowy days ahead for us here in coastal CT....
Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday
