THURSDAY TOTALS

Luckily, I saved this one square for my Merry Month of May...
this is for the 13th and will be doing today's block later....

**********************************
                                             Four new 16-Patch Squared ....
I love how those leaves in the top left one
                                just came together--
                                   totally serendipity....;)))
                                      12 of these done...

****************************************
And something beautiful to raise your spirits as it did mine;)))⇊⇊⇊
Here is the Mother's Day and Birthday bouquet my son
                       and family sent me....
I love those little white roses
                                  and the snapdragons...;)))

***********************************
I now have 63 Courthouse Steps made.....
                      (7 by 9 = 63 ) which doesn't even come close
                        to covering even just the
                          top of our king bed....

I have put these on a bit of a hold ----
while I set up to quilt the SIL's
                                 "Sailing into the Future" quilt
I hope to set up Helga for
quilting tomorrow, and work on it through
                                           this weekend...

I want to get  this off of my dining table and get it D O N E!!!

**************************************************
We, at least, have a nice sunny day today (not even thinking about
the storms headed our way for tonight and tomorrow!!); 000
I hope to take a little stroll around my yard to see
what is going on (if anything)
with my various little garden spots...

I hope you are staying safe ---

FORWARD ON A FRIDAY

All pinned and ready to either machine quilt or tie....
                                      Decisions, decisions..........

Since I threw my back out this morning ;0000
{note to self: don't drop soap in the shower!!}
I will have time to decide.....

********************************************
Last two Courthouse Steps for now--they number 58:

Really reaching into deep scrap stash
and using some of Wanda's (click)
                                   lovely strips she gifted me.

************************************************
                            ↟↟↟  Yesterday's Merry Month of May  ↟↟↟
                                                    block-a-day

Today, I set one up but I couldn't
sit at the machine to sew it ;000

Here is the set up of today's :      ⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓
It is a lot brighter than the other ones....

*******************************************

Here are the next  two   "In A Square 16-Patch"  blocks
      I am working on....

[For those of you who asked how I used a jelly roll to make these....

Those squares are cut from sewing two long jelly strips together
then cutting that pair in half; and then sewing into four;
and finally, then cut into 2.5" strips...
for the 16 patch block

The 8" squares are then cut diagonally
to be sewn on on each side]
↧↧↧

Here is the result...
I am going to be calling this one:
"Garden Stroll"
I feel the corners above look like
garden stepping stones...

*****************************************************
I guess I will be resting and icing my back today...

Thom is cooking spaghetti sauce for me....
:)))))))))))))) YAY!!

Be careful and stay safe now

FUN IN MAY

Here are the next three Courthouse Steps blocks...
These are taking much longer as fabrics
have been pared down a bit and so........
                                           decisions take longer...

Before I was really whipping through block making, but now, maybe
one a day...and I also had to cut more muslin squares and more triangles
for hourglass centers...

So far, I have 52 made up....all different...I have them all stacked in a pile
off to the side....
the burning question is will they all play well together?
?????????????????????????????????

And I have begun a new block-a-day project for the :
                                            " Merry Month of May...."

                                       Here are the first two....⇣⇣⇣⇣
I will try to make one each day so that I  will have 30 blocks
to make up into a lap quilt on May 30th......

                      Another easy-peasey and enjoyable project....

I hope your weather this Saturday is as pretty as ours is...nice and
sunny--if still a bit chill-making with the winds off the ocean.....

RSC LAST APRIL SATURDAY, et al

Two Ojos...One Doorway to Spring... and one hourglass strippy
                  and
                     that's all
that's left of my light blue scraps....;)))

Plus, of course, my continuing work on this ↧↧↧↧
I have almost finished stitching the blades on
                                   this 2nd Dresden,,....
And I have one more Dresden left to work on.
[and..................
Here I was thinking that I would be watching the Red Sox
games and stitching away...
I guess not....]

Come over and visit Angela at (click) super scrappy to take a peek
at what we have all been doing this April of the light blues...

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
and,
Here are the latest four Courthouse blocks...
My long term project...

I have been slowly adding some Old Golds
                            and a few peaches, too.

It has been slow going as I have been down with a little cold, but am
feeling much better today (thank you for all your good wishes).

Here are some close ups for those who asked to see the fabrics
larger--(you can double click to get really close)

I had to cut more muslin squares this week; and I will have to
order more
muslin for the backings...

These are definitely so, so
                                     ↯↯↯

Enjoy the weekend as much as you can....

HORRAY FOR TWO ON A SUNNY DAY

Fabric choices are getting less varied
                                 these two are quite similar...............

I've added that  bit of warm brown calico I found..... and that
leaf-ey batik....and the narrow music fabric that I love....

You can see how narrow that lovely ↟↟↟ Japanese iris print is
                             I am using
                                             E V E R Y   B I T up ;))))
***************************************************
The sun came out this morning and although it is still cold, it
is heartening to see sunshine...;)))--- even if it is only peeking out
now and then among the scudding clouds...
****************************************

I have developed a little cold here; and so,
I will be resting more today...👫😷

Stay safe and sheltered:
