REMEMBER ME??? MY MOMMY DIDN'T LIKE ME SO MUCH WHEN SHE FINISHED....
(OH MY GOSH, ANOTHER QUILT THAT TALKS TO ME...)
(I am attempting to sew these 17.5" blocks (+ or minus-- hehehe) together; these were the dark scraps and strings I made along with my Sea Glass piece which I love and am now cuddling under...)
Here is the border I am going to use...and
here is what came out to see us today--Mr. Sun--YAY and here are a few of the other scraps inside me..(I don't know why Mommy has taken such a dislike to me with all these cute scraps!!)
You know him, right? AND
are all of yours eaten up yet????
(Closing the sewing room door--and she's still talking.....)
Here at long last is:
an off market 1/4" edge piecing.......................... that FITS!!
It has been a busy time of family, grand-dog sitting, traveling in the terrible pea soup fog and rain and eating and oh, did I mention eating????Aaaaargh..
and, we are really enjoying the calm that comes AFTER CHRISTMAS.
I got lovely gifts (which I will write about in the future) -- right now is "snappy-nap" time for
les grandparents.
Hope to sew the last row of those huge (I still don't really like them much) blocks together--they are a sort of "I Spy" I guess--I can't even come up with a name--so unlike moi,.....
I hope you are having a relaxing weekend....
Hugs to you all

ALMOST A FLIMSEY
the TOP half...
ONE MORE ROW TO PIN AND SEW!!!!
My back from leaning over and pinning each and every row of blocks together
exactly (ahhh..does the word fudging ring a bell??? lol) and then throwing the rows over my left shoulder (I also got a pin caught in my earring doing this and nearly pulled my ear lobe off!! ACK...oh the trials and tribulations!!)
and trying to match the edge to the new little sewing sticky ridge that I added (what I think is...;--)) a scant 1/4" from my needle..... and with the regular foot in place--guiding it through Helga. She is a recalcitrant gal...BUT I think it went pretty well--I am not going to use that wobbly plastic foot anymore! (Did I tell you that I cancelled my 1/4" foot order after talking to the "Sewingpartsonline" company and their telling me they have NO IDEA when or IF they will get one???Enough of this AGITA!) I will make what I have WORK--
and I promise no more 1/4" whining!! Honest--or I hope so!!
hugs to all of you in this busy Holiday Season--I hope you are finding the time to get some (relaxing???? Huh, relax, who moi???) sewing in...Julierose, La Blaguese (almost done-euse)

EDGINESS
Sleigh Bells Ring has grown up a bit since I last posted. I now have four rows of 6x6 blocks (3 across and four down) sewed horizontally and I've added the off whites in a double row on each long side.
My whole week has been about edges (more about this further on....)
Monsieur "Partridge in his Pear Tree" ;--))
I love this rose square ;--)))
Well, folks----this journey has been an eye-opener; I have collected mini charm squares the past year and cut some with my GO!BABY (go!! lol) and each company's 2.5" square is sized differently! Who knew?! Pas Moi!!
So this is an exercise in matching up for sure (especially as I am --oh no, not this AGAIN??--so 1/4" challenged--and for those of you still interested [anyone??] my 1/4" foot has STILL not arrived!! I ordered it from "sewforless" on October 6th!!!!--it should be sew-less!! humpfff!).
Hey Dawn--see your fabrics that you so (sew) kindly gifted me? The Dancin' snowmen and my favorite angels--a part of you will be in my quilt...thanks again...hugs....
And now for a different kind of "EDGINESS":
It doesn't look like much, but I added all those black hexies over Thanksgiving (and I am thankful for finishing those! 3 sides to fit in each)
and also on this side:
those aqua-ish ones on the left--my piece now has two sides ziggy-zaggy and two sides with 1/2 hexagon holes in it!
My next step is to make Monsieur Monet's Water Lilies floating and to add the French Writing....and another puzzle to be solved is born...I do like the city buildings though...
Today I hope to sew more squares on 1/4" challenged Helga--oops--sorry--I won't go down that road rant again!
But........... I have to rest my hand from hexagon stitching as it is sore...
I hope you have a sew-full weekend...
hugs, Julierose, La Blageus (Edgi-euse)
