MY LATEST DIAMOND PAINTING EFFORT..
And I just finished:
WINTER ROSES:
I love how it turned out; but......
it was a difficult piece as the little drills kept wanting
to pop off...
and I've been re-- situating them and using my rolling pin to
push them back into place...(not good)...;(((
I am going to have to seal this one..before framing...
and I am researching the best sealer glue to use...
As I am still a neophyte in diamond painting, I guess "live and learn"
is my motto...
I have noticed that the little round drills (using on Starry Starry Night)
are MUCH easier to place and seem to have more sparkle to them...and
they are staying put very well....I am thinking that the Winter Roses canvas
didn't have enough or the right kind of glue on it...and am wondering how you
can tell...i won't be ordering from that company again until I know....ya think??
***************************************************
Terri's Butterfly is coming along....sort of.........
Now to find the ensuing round--nothing seems to "go with" the style and type of
fabrics in this so far...;((( [sigh]
and I don't have even a smidgen of that peach flowery one...{big sigh}
And no other peach-ey fabrics on my shelves seem to fit... (too many sighs)
I wanted to pick up that round's color somehow...
Well, I still have to dive into the boxes and bags on my upper shelves...just
maybe I'll find something.....wish me luck...;**)))
I am using just my stash, not buying new fabric...so this may just have to be on hold
for a bit...
********************************************
Warmer temps today--in the mid 40's here--so all the snow melted overnight...
Rains on the way....this evening and tomorrow....more grayness....
****************************************
On a much happier note.....♬♬
I came across a "String-along" on LORI'S (click to see her blog)
today..for 2019...
I am definitely going to do this. I am not really good at doing "--alongs" of
any type,,,but this kind of sewing is right up my alley..;}}}๐๐
************************************
Have a wonderful weekend peeps๐...I'll be watching the Patriots on Sunday
(we have buffalo wings and coleslaw planned --an impromptu picnic so to
speak)...and a
LOT OF "BOXED" STASH SEARCHING....ooff-dah.....
HUGS,

WINTER BUTTERFLY and ROSES
Terri (click to visit her)
sent me this lovely paper pieced butterfly as her giveaway winner.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, TERRI, I JUST LOVE IT
I would like to learn paper piecing this coming year...so many pretty blocks....
AND
I have put the first set of borders around it ;
and will be playing off of that small bit of orange
on its body...
I've put up some trial fabrics to see what I may do...
.
We'll see how these go (or not)....I love that flowery one...a lot.....
AND
somehow, in my mind (those strange corridors with so many doors..lol) it goes with
this:as perhaps for the reverse side...
the leftovers of my Geisha Prints for a Springlike setting and
also not finished ....
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Here is another project that I want to continue to work on...I don't recall just what I had
in mind even...but I found it wrapped in the above piece...it fell in my lap and
called my name....;))))
AND
I found (yay-- after a LOT of searching)
some more of that Geisha Faces fabric you see above on Etsy
and plan to make some more of these little arcs in the NEW YEAR
(my gosh!! 2019--just imagine!!) .
*************************************************
My Winter Roses are really coming together--to me this is looking like a Renaissance painting...
Here you can see the sparkle of the little drills:
Each one is carefully placed and sticks to the stickified (is that a word, no? Well it should be haha)
canvas....
such lovely colors
I am so loving this craft....it has definitely become one of my
<<<<<<<<<FAVORITE THINGS>>>>>
("When the bee stings, when the bug bites, and I'm feeling blue,
I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel so bad.." apologies for
the paraphrasing. lol)..

On the Holiday scene, I got gifts for Willa and Fi today and finished my gifts to be mailed out
around the 10th...
AND
I hope you are all giving yourselves some quiet time during this busy
Holiday Season...I am settling myself down to read for at least one hour a day...
My latest gem is:
"Divind Inspiration" by Jane Langton...
isn't the title just PERFECT for this time of year?
And it is such a great, fun read..
.her detective, Homer Kelly, is so funny and
likeable...
I highly recommend this entire series...
I just finished "Dark Nantucket Moon" by her--also amazing..
If you got to the end of this VERY WORDY post of mine....
I COMMEND YOU ๐๐๐;)))
hugs, Julierose (DP-euse).

WINTER ROSES, ET AL
I've been working along on my Winter Roses canvas...
Enjoying the soft colors emerging......
***************************************************
AND--
I have:
One more Mrs. Secret Santa project to bind and label......
T H E N ...I can start another project.....;))))
*****************************************************
Right now I think it will be a log cabin--
Courthouse Steps variation...
And so I am in the process of
searching for a fabric to be the focal square--
will a Santa make it?
a birdie?
a tree?
Or a beautiful batik?
Or an Ocean scene...?????
****************************************************
AND............
I've been looking for a really good book to read; but have been finding myself
reaching a certain point in the books where
I just "don't care" about the characters anymore...
sad.....but true....;(((
*******************************************************
So,
(" in the meantime, in between time--ain't we got fun....")
Crossword Puzzles and Diamond Painting to my rescue...
*************
hugs from a windy and c-o-l-d
house on a hill.....
