WINTER KNITTING, et al

Le Sock No. 1  c'est tout fini !!
;D
(DH is in the process of cleaning
 out under the tv in
 the background--
he is a gem!! 💓)

AND
↓↓↓

Here is the start of the
2nd sock...

Someone asked what yarn I
was using
↡↡↡↡
Very soft and cuddly yarn
really easy to knit and
it doesn't split on you...

I had gotten this quite
a while ago and I
don't know if it is still
available.

I have two more balls of the same
yarn but in a different colorway
that I plan to  knit up next...
👵👏
***********************
Knitting has kept my hands
busy these "resting" days.

For those of you who have
asked:

My MRI results showed
a herniated disc that is
causing my sciatica...
So...
Next up will be an
epidural
(to be scheduled,
soon I hope).

I hope this will allow me
to get back to walking
without pain.
🙏🙆
*********************
Tom is making beef barley soup
for our dinner tonight;
I will make a tossed
salad to accompany it...
I am trying to eat lightly as
I have been so sedentary...

I hope this finds you all healthy
and able to sew away...

I am off to ice my back and
do some light stretches...

Hugs, Julierose,

So cute...
I love mug rugs!!

FYI:
those of you knitters out
there, here is my progress
from this:
↨↨↨

TO THIS
↴↴↴↴↴
Not too bad for just a
few rows here
and there, huh?

********************************

I lit our little family
N O E L
ceramics last evening...

This was my Grand-mere's
and passed onto my Mom
and then to me...

It is on our bookcase just
 off the
kitchen...

I usually have it on our mantle,
but this year as we moved the
bookcase where our huge desk
used to sit, I thought we'd
enjoy seeing the bookcase
 dressed up
for
the Holidays...
⛄⛄⛄

************************
Tonight will be grinder night
for lunch and supper in one!!

We get Genoa salami
with lettuce, tomato and
provolone cheese
(oil not mayo).
Y U M M Y!!

Reminds me that:

My Tante Beth (pronounced
(Bet in Canadian French)
owned and worked
in a grinder shop
while I was a little girl;
I would just love to go in and
"H E L P" (hahaha)
wrap up the grinders
for customers...

We all spoke French--
even a lot of the customers...
French was my first
language....
AND
sometimes I still dream
en
Francais...
😪🌇🌌🌛

I hope you are all well and enjoying
these days before Christmas or
any Holiday you celebrate...

Hugs,
