JUNE FABRIC JOURNAL PAGE, et al

June Fabric Journal Page
Progress:

I added my hand-tea-dyed
ruffle to enclose my
scrappy tattered heart...

[I covered muslin with torn strips]

THEN...
I began stitching the upper portion
with various little stitches;
they seemed, as I worked,
to represent
a sky scene:
 perhaps the Milky Way??
AND...
Further along
after sitting on our deck
this lovely morning and
drinking my coffee...
↶↶↶↶
Stars and little
French knots in between
my Kantha stitching..

And....
Some French  knots are drooping
down...

I am now letting this simmer a bit to
see what I want to add next...

*********************
I had some company this morning
while stitching and sipping;)))

a quiet clover-munching friend:
Mrs. Bunny-Rabbit
Right below our deck....
;))))
********************
My ferns are really doing well
back here filling in...
This spot is in the shade until
around 4 pm; so,
they thrive here along with
my now long-past bloom bleeding hearts...
💗💗💗💗
Just a few left...

I send a word of thanks to
my good crafting friend, Jean,
for her gift of two little
starter plants...

I think of her fondly
every Spring.

So heart-warming...
aren't they?
********************
FYI
for those of you who have asked
how I am faring:
I am now able to take short walks
and move about our house
pretty much with short
sitting respites...

And

yesterday I drove myself (!!)
to our local grocery store
and did a small shopping...
Hurrah!!!!

BACK & BACK (!!)

BACK TO MY CIRCLES...they fall just a teeney bit short of fitting on
each side of my Grief Cloth--

(you can see the little rectangle I added on the top right to make that row fit...)

I will be doing that on all sides....I am enjoying some hand stitching in between icing my back--(more about that issue below) ;000

And:

we are BACK from our lovely getaway to Newburyport, MA, that the kids gave us for our 50th Wedding Anniversary last year.  (we had to postpone it
because of Thom's medical issues ).

It is a lovely town on the Merrimac River with brick walkways and benches all over; loaded with shops, restaurants and vendors.... we truly enjoyed our stay at the Essex Inn --a lovely old-world room....
BUT:
As it turned out--

I awakened Thursday morning,  and sat up--ready to pack up and go to my son's house on our way home..... and --my back went totally out!

I literally had to just about crawl around. The innkeeper gave me a bag of ice and I wrapped it in a towel to rest my back on in the car....

Poor Thom had to pack everything up, load up the car, and drive us home--I was supposed to be the one driving as his leg was very painful.. and we decided we had to just get straight home--

I have no idea what caused this--but I am icing and doing PT exercises--cautiously.  I feel about 90!!

At any rate, it is a bit less painful this afternoon; I just have to be very careful and move slowly....("Slow down, you move too fast.....")

And so it goes...I hope you are staying cool if it is as hot where you are
as it is here--
75 degrees at 7 am....ugh

BLOCK NO. 1

Here she is--BLOCK NO. 1 --34 left to go....I L O V E those Tiger Eyes peeking out.....

It is a bit wonky.. ya think???(actually MORE than a bit!!)

.and I am totally blaming the Kona Honeybun strips I am using !!
--why you ask (as well you may):

Because they ravel TERRIBLY!! As a matter of fact the threads got caught
in my feed dogs many times while I was sewing!!

And they looked like they were TORN and not cut when I opened them up!!
                                                        :--0000

I had purchased them quite a while ago from MSQ Co.---  so kinda surprised....
                                                         :--(((

And, too long ago to return or get replaced---so going with them...what is it they say--???

                                                   Go With The Flow
See ya--
Hugs, Julierose  La Blageuse (not!! lol)

so icing, Aleve, and PT exercising again....(BOOOOO!!)

P.P. S.  so , instead of sewing or scrapping or anything else, really!!

"Ten Lords A-Leaping (he uses the Twelve Days of Christmas as titles ---
 12 being the first one...)
VERY British and VERY funny.... ouch--don't laugh so hard....lol
