June Fabric Journal Page
Progress:
I added my hand-tea-dyed
ruffle to enclose my
scrappy tattered heart...
[I covered muslin with torn strips]
THEN...
I began stitching the upper portion
with various little stitches;
they seemed, as I worked,
to represent
a sky scene:
perhaps the Milky Way??
AND...
Further along
after sitting on our deck
this lovely morning and
drinking my coffee...
↶↶↶↶
French knots in between
my Kantha stitching..
And....
Some French knots are drooping
down...

I am now letting this simmer a bit to
see what I want to add next...
*********************
I had some company this morning
while stitching and sipping;)))
a quiet clover-munching friend:
Mrs. Bunny-Rabbit
Right below our deck....
;))))
********************
My ferns are really doing well
back here filling in...
This spot is in the shade until
around 4 pm; so,
they thrive here along with
my now long-past bloom bleeding hearts...
💗💗💗💗
Just a few left...
I send a word of thanks to
my good crafting friend, Jean,
for her gift of two little
starter plants...
I think of her fondly
every Spring.
So heart-warming...
aren't they?
********************
FYI
for those of you who have asked
how I am faring:
I am now able to take short walks
and move about our house
pretty much with short
sitting respites...
And
yesterday I drove myself (!!)
to our local grocery store
and did a small shopping...
Hurrah!!!!
Hugs, Julierose

So true...
So glad you're progressing physically - now, be sure to take it easy and don't set yourself back. (thanks for sharing the quote - it's a good one!). And...your heart is looking great!
ReplyDeleteA shopping trip must have made you feel a little more 'back to normal'. Hope the healing recovery continues well. Very pretty stitches and Mrs. Bunny looks quite content munching away.
ReplyDeleteYour heart is gorgeous. Delightful.
ReplyDeleteSuch good news that you actually could drive and shop.
Dear Mrs Bunny, I love their big eyes. It's a beautiful day, isn't it, despite the wind.
love
lizzy
I'm so pleased you are getting stronger each day, out and about and driving, that's certainly progress! That's a pretty little bunny, they are considered pests here and not at all welcome.
ReplyDeleteSitting on your deck, drinking coffee, stitching and watching the antics of Mrs Bunny Rabbit does sound lovely. Good news you were able to drive to the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteThe ruffle is so pretty on the heart. I'm glad you are able to do a bit more and even drive. That's good news. All that and a bunny, too!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are healing. Don't overdo!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are improving, even if it is just in baby steps.
ReplyDeleteYour journal page is so pretty. Great to hear you are making progress, Julierose. I sure hope you continue to do so without any set-backs. Slow and easy...
ReplyDeleteYour heart looks so precious! I love the cute rabbit! I know most people don't like rabbits being around since they eat so many plants. They're so darn cute! It sounds like you're slowly improving. So glad to hear it!
ReplyDeleteHappy to read that you're able to do a little more right now, long may progress continue. Your journal page is beautiful, such soft color and I love your addition of the stars and French knot and shy worry if they droop here and there, all adds to the individuality of your piece.
ReplyDeleteLovely progress on your journal page...I can just picture you sitting on your deck and enjoying the stitching process! Yay for your healthy progress!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are able to do more. Be careful and don't overdo. Your plants and fabric page look great
