BACKING UP, et al

Here is "proof" (haha) that I am serious about
BB1's return to be finished:

[just in case you wondered?]
😏
I made this backing from very, very "olde"
fabric favorites that I have been
hoarding for years
(Why, you ask??
I don' t know why
and it's
past time
to use them )

Look at that lovely field of tulips
(paired with a newer floral)

and
this pink bouquet which has to be one
of my super faves paired with
another semi-new piece...

I think the reverse will contrast nicely
with this  (ahem,  & may I call it??)
"Vivid" front--
yikers--
talk about
wild and
in your face!!

What WAS I thinking??
I am looking back to see if I was
unusually stressed? Worried?
Anxious???
?????????????
Anyhoo....
It is what it is and
it now layered up and
ready for pinning.
which I WAS going to do today,
{REALLY}
but,
 after food shopping early and
then putting together a
Shepherd's Pie for our
supper tonight,
I have retired to my recliner armed
with a cuppa tea and a blankie...
👀😇👀
And
here it is already lunch time--
time flies when you are
having fun, right???

AND because you lasted through
all  my silly
wittering..
here is the latest look at
my Galaxy, Nymph Double
Flowering amaryllis...
(try saying that 3 times!!);)))
Just heavenly ....

PLAT DU JOUR, ET AL

My brain during the time of c-virus
                                      [Hahahaha --seriously though...]

***************************************************
Tonight will be the "Special Shepherd's Pie" entree--
Preceded by a much needed cocktail hour with munchies--
and followed by strawberries with whipped cream...
Diet??? NOT!!!!

********************************************
My mailman brought me these today ↴↴↴↴
A few weeks before this coronacation hit us, I saw a deal
[such a deal!!] for 21 "crossword only" books for $10.99 total
(well, plus minimal shipping, but really, how can you beat that? )
B A M !!!

You see👀👀👀👀 .......↡↡↡↡↡↡
I am an avid crossword fan ==and they never seem to have
"crosswords only" volumes
at my local stores&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
(and anyway, now  I can't go there until this is over)
so, I figure this should last me a while ya think????
;)))..

******************************
In other stirring news: ;@)))

I signed up for "Instacart"; our new directive
states that if you are over 60 you shouldn't go to
the store....
This was a bit muddling onsite for me at first {not being
all that computer literate and all}
but I figured it out   (needs must right?)..

So, we will receive our first delivery this
coming Monday late afternoon...and
that should last us for at least 2 weeks +--just
foodstuffs this time --although they do have a
paper section--that's for next time...
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Thom is practicing his Tenor Sax--long tones for his lung-
power , and Improvisation of jazz tunes; 💓💓💓💓
I will be picking up my flute--the last time I
played was about 30 yrs ago ;^000,
I minored in flute in Music College (I was a Piano Major)
so I am practicing every day again..
and it feels right somehow...
once a musician and "all that jazz.." 👧💞💞💞💞
********************
This is where we are at today...so very relieved about
grocery delivery ...

I will be stalking my light blues in my scraps pile this afternoon
and winding more bobbins...
~ ~ ~ ~ waves to you all  stay safe and vigilant
