MONKEY MIND

UM.....how did this happen???? I sewed  five of these before I  realized I was sewing them
together wrong way...because...................

SEE................. THIS is what I wanted:

Ah-Ha!!  Gotcha -----at least for today...I am on a campaign to teach myself to do angles.....
so every day I plan to sew a few to get used to angles and not feel so "angle-challenged"

The HST's up above were a mistake--but now I see how I can use my GO!BABY die for both  1/4 square triangles and 1/2 square triangles...So, maybe not SO bad, huh??
I have cut quite a few ahead so that they can be my "leader enders" while I continue making Steven's quilt...

AND here is COL #5....definitely reflecting my MONKEY MIND today
                                                               ;--0000

All those monkies are up to their "monkey shines" in my brain ...do you ever find that you wake up and they are dancing around in YOUR head??? You cannot shut them up!  It is VERY annoying and tiring... {sigh}....

So, late this afternoon I pick up my prep meds for my procedure (yuck) on Wednesday of this week....
Tomorrow is a liquid diet; I made some lime and lemon jello today; I have gatorade, apple juice, beef broth and Italian Ices for tomorrow....

Tonight my sweet DH will be making my favorite creamed tuna on toast for my final meal.....
he makes a "mean" white sauce....

You "GO BABY"-Girl

Yup--here it is:  my own lil Go Baby with 6x12 cutting mat and the set of 3 square dies:  I am excited!!  Isn't Thom a sweetie?  I can't wait to get started;( spent both yesterday and today at my Mom's Nursing & Rehab Center with meetings and trying to get her spirits uplifted)  am pretty well spent with all this trauma for her.  So this is a sweetheart of a surprise.

Well, gals, at any rate--here are some pixs of one of my first free-form quilts based loosely on log cabins:  I think this must be about 20 yrs ago...it's called "Red River Long Ago" after a painting that I saw on exhibit....

My blocks were full of "wonkiness even way back then...I just put together fabrics I loved and sewed on !!

A bientot mes amies
