MONKEY MIND
UM.....how did this happen???? I sewed five of these before I realized I was sewing them
together wrong way...because...................
SEE................. THIS is what I wanted:
Ah-Ha!! Gotcha -----at least for today...I am on a campaign to teach myself to do angles.....
so every day I plan to sew a few to get used to angles and not feel so "angle-challenged"
The HST's up above were a mistake--but now I see how I can use my GO!BABY die for both 1/4 square triangles and 1/2 square triangles...So, maybe not SO bad, huh??
I have cut quite a few ahead so that they can be my "leader enders" while I continue making Steven's quilt...
AND here is COL #5....definitely reflecting my MONKEY MIND today
;--0000
All those monkies are up to their "monkey shines" in my brain ...do you ever find that you wake up and they are dancing around in YOUR head??? You cannot shut them up! It is VERY annoying and tiring... {sigh}....
So, late this afternoon I pick up my prep meds for my procedure (yuck) on Wednesday of this week....
Tomorrow is a liquid diet; I made some lime and lemon jello today; I have gatorade, apple juice, beef broth and Italian Ices for tomorrow....
Tonight my sweet DH will be making my favorite creamed tuna on toast for my final meal.....
he makes a "mean" white sauce....

WEDNESDAY WEBS
THREE whole Webs done now--8 blocks....
Friday we have friends coming for dinner, so tomorrow will be shopping/cleaning/etc.......so I pushed and got two done this afternoon.
(oof-dah my back is complaining......) I most likely will not get anymore sewing done until Saturday.....
My room is small, so I cannot get all of the top partial blocks in....here's an upper view:
and here are close ups of some webs....
I love that fish swimming along....("swim!, said the Mama Fishie, Swim! if you can, and they swam and they swam all over the dam;
poop poop didem dadem whatem shoo-- and they swam and swam all over the dam") does that age me or what???? ;--0000
AND music scores.....and
cactus poking up.....
On my way to 35 blocks,,,,27 left (and that's 98 quadrants...methinks I will be
needing more orange....!!)
DH is cleaning out our fireplace and the glass doors on it....I plan on a nice cuppa before I make my "Pasta Julianna" for our dinner....
Hope you are "working on Wednesday" to get your WIPS done....
hugs, Julierose, La Blageuse (web-euse)
FOR VIVIAN
VIVIAN FROM: the Bronx Quilter wanted to see my finished Ladies (sorry for the crooked pix)!!
Below are all the blocks in their finished forms:
Here i used my Grand-mere's old buttons from her button box....
and this block (above) is a little plainer.....I let the fabric do the work here--and doesn't it look windy in there????;--))))
And, she seems almost like an angel to me..at first, that orange color threw me...so
I tried incorporating a bit of it in some of the other blocks....
I loved adding the headdresses --les Dames just seemed to need them....
This one above was my favorite to stitch...and took the longest!!
thanks to my Grand-mere--i already know all these stitches--but there are so many new ones to learn also, that it just doesn't get old....could she be a "Mermaid"????
this was a totally rewarding project--slow, and a real break from machine quilting...
I highly recommend Crazee Quilting...
