CHRISTMAS IN HEXAGONIA

We Hexagonians are busy preparing for Christmas ;)))

Cutting ironing, basting...making a couple snowflakes....

These fabrics are from a jelly roll I had purchased a while ago ...
I had had other plans for it, but it decided to morph into hexagons...

This is such calming and portable handwork....
even after eye laser surgery....
what is amazing,  is that I can SEE to thread my needle once more...

And after 3 more days of drops, I should be good to go...

******************************************
The sun is actually making a long awaited appearance here this morning....
("Here comes the sun....da da dah daaah...")

Soooo
I am hoping that hubster will drive me to JoAnne's--our local store closed,
:>000 sad to say, at the end of last December--
it was only about 15 minutes away; the next closest one is
about 40 minutes from here; down I95--which we call
"The Killing Fields" because of all the traffic and accidents...

I need to pick up pillow forms, quilting thread..and to just, well,
you know, look around....;}}}...
I am thinking of making smaller projects for a while...
take a break from big quilts...

Hugs, from Julierose, La Blageuse (sewing in Hexagonia-euse)

  1. Hooray for the successful eye surgery! And have fun looking around at the fabric store. I dropped back to 48 x 64 range quilts because I was so tired of the larger ones. I even like the 30 x 40 wall size now (although I have to be careful because wall space has become limited - have to rotate the quilts in the available spots). HUGS!

  2. Dear Hexagonian,
Love the snowflakes you have there. Our snow has melted (for now) after the blizzard we had a week ago. Still there is snow in big mounds around town where roads or parking lots were shoveled.
So happy your eyes turned out. Sounds like the same surgery my hubby had.
    Hugs

  6. I love hexies. I have an ongoing hexie project. Not sure I'll ever finish it!! It sounds like your eyes are doing well. I like going to Joann's for notions and books! Mine is nice and close.

  8. That's a fun use for your jelly roll--looking forward to seeing what you do with them! We have a busy road that we avoid too--it's called Dead Man's Drive--lol!

  10. Enjoy petting all the fabric.... which I know you will do! Such happy little snowmen on your hexagons! I'm working on that 94x94 log cabin today... but have been looking through nice small table runners for a new project. Small is good! Hugs.
