REGISTER RECEIPTS?

 Just a quick note:

I received a text from a blog following well-wisher last night warning me that

register receipts are TOXIC to handle...containing BPH or BPS.

I guess I won't be using them at all anymore- So much for my little

"use it up" discovery, huh???

So, I googled it and yes, toxicologists recommend

not handling receipts....This type of paper is banned in all of Europe

and Canada...!!

Note: ask cash register worker to either throw it out or put it in bag for you

Wash hands after touching it if you even handle it...and especially do not eat after

touching it..

Look it up for yourself...✊👀

Hugs, Julierose

  2. Good heavens! Who knew. If they're that toxic why are people working cash registers allowed to handle the volume of them they must every day? I must say I always wash my hands after handling them but that came about during the beginning of covid when we were all worried about the virus being transported on everything.

  3. Oh wow! Thank you for sharing Julierose. When I am given the choice, I do have receipts emailed to me but that is rarely offered and NEVER at the grocery store. I have a drawer full of receipts I need to reconcile. I'll get that done and wash my hands right away! Maybe even wear gloves?

  4. Wow! How about using adding machine tape instead?

  5. Oh wow! Thank you for sharing this Julierose. That is so interesting and disappointing. I agree- why is this allowed? Have a lovely day.

  6. I kind of knew this but thought it's just an urban myth. Why is poison paper allowed even? On the other hand---we haven't died yet, despite lifetimes of handling these toxic bits. Think of those mile long CVS receipts, wow!

  7. Well good heavens- thanks for sharing this. I immediately envisioned those endless receipts from CVS! And I see from others that I'm not alone in this.
