WEEKEND PAPER CRAFTING, et al

I took my grocery receipts and made some
"GRAFITTI STRIPS" .

I used up alot of the tiny torn off bits from my
Junque Journaling...which I saved:
and...
stamps, sparkles, and torn
old papers...and washi tapes.

I saw these on
Youtube's
"Caroline on the Hillside"
and had to make my own version.

;)))))
This is my first attempt....

and a closer look at it

And:
Below is my 2nd shorter tape collage:
[Torn magazine pieces are featured on this one]

And....

NEXT:
A more neutral "take"

I used little torn sections from my
Opera Librettos old book--
here,
my little stamped "she"
 is Melisande" ;)))

I had such fun making these using up
a lot of my what would have been
 tossed out trash bits...

I plan tot use these in my next
 Junque Journal effort...

Sunday supper will be:

Yesterday's left over meatloaf
sliced into sandwiches and
left over potatoes made into
pan fries with onions on the side...

No leaks overnight, thank heavens,
despite the heavy rains--
Tom's taping up held,
at least for now...
this week he will contact the
Window manufacturer's
local representative to
see what is available for us...
Hopefully not too much $$$$'s!!!

  2. I quite like the idea of using grocery receipts this way - they’re thin yet sturdy enough. Cool idea!

  3. Your graffiti strips are so much fun! I am glad you did not have a leak.

  4. That is such a great way of using up all those paper receipts. We got so much rain last night. Your windows can't be that bad if they didn't leak overnight. I'm hoping it's nothing too expensive.

  5. That's good news that the window repair is holding up. I hope the permanent fix isn't too expensive too.

  6. Oh how fun, Julierose. I watched one of my favorite journal youtubers who made little washi tapes using torn scraps so I took scraps and made strips similar to yours to add as decoration to my journals. I never thought of using old receipts- how clever. You certainly made them look fancy! Isn't it relaxing to snip, tear, cut and glue. Enjoy your day. Hugs.

  7. The restriction of the width of the tapes (CRTs, we called them back when I was a refunder) is a good creativity-creator. Nice!

  8. You dressed up those receipts very nicely, Julierose. Looks like you had a fun time doing it. Glad to hear that you didn't have any more leaks. I hope it is a quick and not expensive fix.

  10. There is a person IG doing a 100 day project using an adding machine tape roll, doing a small portion every day and keeping it in the roll. Your pieces are really pretty.
