SUMMER DAYS

 

A basket of blue scraps and strings

AND

A basket of yellow scraps and strings...

Since I am still in the midst of PT and

in resting mode--

I grabbed these

⇊⇊⇊

and began cutting 

small bits to add to my

blue/yellow

project--"Summer Days"

A good way to work on

my project wile watching

the Red sox and using the

heating pad...

I hope that my 

💥

idea of how to put the string 

blocks together

will work out...

Here is my hydrangea finally blooming

despite our severe drought here...

I love the lacey look to the big 

blowsey  heads that bloom..

AND

it seems that 

there are more to come 

Tonight we are due for some rain

FINALLY!

It has just skirted us lately

and I am hoping that this

will push the rest of the buds to bloom..

and help to green-up our yellowed lawns..

last evening and hand sewed.

before my sciatica 

became a real problem 

for any kind of machine work...

[I've had a lot of time to think up

a name as I am not able to sit

and bend over my machine 

as yet...per my MD's

orders to take meds and 

rest and use heating pad.

Getting a bit restless!!]

I was supposed to start PT

yesterday, but on Tuesday 

evening, I started with a 

fever and cold symptoms....

SO

I had to reschedule to this

coming Tuesday....

I am hoping that PT

will alleviate this problem...

I got it quite a while ago...

Mom and I both worked

on CW quilts  at her stitching

group

the "Sew and Sews"

many years ago now...

Hers used Dad's old ties

after he had passed away

and was her memory quilt

work.  We so often would

remember 

"Oh that's right, you

bought him that wilder one!!"

If you knew my low key, 

quiet spoken Dad--

 who always wore

blue  or white shirts 

and didn't even own

a pair of jeans, --

you would see why we laughed

together at those memories...

and were able to help heal

our  loss and grieving

together...

This is a real memory

tabletopper

that I put out a lot...

We so loved working on these at

the weekly meetings...

I sure still do miss

that group of ladies...

"Girl With Braids"

Diamond Painting

is finished...

I began her when we 

shut down for Covid.

It measures 15.5" x 19.5"

and was a true pleasure to work on...

And it gave me many calming moments...

I find diamond painting to be 

so relaxing

and freeing.

I hope you are enjoying this last

day of our Country's Birthday

We ate out on the back deck

when the sun finally overcame

the clouds....

just grinders and chips..

and a toast to our Country...

Tomorrow we will bbq 

hotdogs and have:

 beans, potato salad

and cole slaw...

fireworks later on...
