CHRISTMAS GOODIES, et al

Look at the lovely
package of goodies
my friend Dawn
sent me....💖💖💖

Christmas leaf pins,
clippies that I use not
only for sewing but also
diamond painting....;))
A lovey hanging towel
and the cutest Christmas Candle...

thank you so much, Dawn 👏💓💓

AND
among other things...
Hubster bought me
this little case
what could be in there??
60 little diamond drill holders.
I had told him I would have to find
more containers as my next painting
had tons of colors and the most
I had was 35...

TEST FLIGHT

Testing testing---
123---
testing.

FOR
"Night Flight"

Santa's not the only one
flying tonight...
;)))

I thought this bird in flight
fabric would be perfect with
The Geese
Under the Moon

and
I wanted to pick up the mauve colors
and
the black colors
on the Geese..

I will have to add more of the star
fabric stop border
to the ends
of the bottom two borders

FIRST I will applique the moon
That will be step #1...

*************************
I am afraid it will be a windy, wet night for us here in the
Northeast with a big storm on our doorstep...

We are hoping that there will not be
power outages....
but
We are prepared with plenty of gas for our
generator if we do lose power
overnight...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
TO YOU ALL

HUGS,

ALMOST A FLOCK, et al

I have two more rows to get these
all together...

I am having to pin ALL
the intersections as
(hmm-- strangely enough)
not all Geese are exactly
the same size--
Who knew??
 hahaha

I have begun thinking about
the top and the bottom
areas....

Here are the starts to my little
Marsh log cabins they are
taking flight over
↡↡↡↡
The batik I had to cut from
left over scraps--
some I had to cobble together
to make a strip long enough...

and the bird fabric has been
in my stash for a long while;
I really cannot recall
why
I got it--
funny how that happens;
And....
It is perfect for this project ;))
******************************

I am planning on seeing if this
will be the next round

I have been trying out
each fabric round first
to see if I like how it looks--

My centers are this marshy-grassy fabric
Another long-standing resident
in my stash ↧↧↧↧
Thank you Lizzy
for your Marsh suggestion ;))

It sparked all this
whole fabric
pull
(Lizzy blogs at "Gone2thebeach").
****************************

I am using this older  book
for my method.

The first log cabin I ever made
was from this book...

I enjoy her strip method
It involves a lot of cutting
so I am only doing one round
per day on this pile of log cabins...

***************************
We received 8-10" of the "white stuff"
And it drifted a whole lot
in the 35-40mph winds...
 H E L L O
W I N T E R
👀👀😦😦👀👀

I hear my oven beeping ..
So I will run in to turn
over my homemade
croutons..
(ummm they smell heavenly!!)

See you all later,

Hugs from my

FLYING SOUTH FOR THE WINTER...

They are meeting up for their
flight
tonight.
**********************************
I have 11 rows ready to be
trimmed up and sewn together...

I am still debating if I want separator
strips every couple rows...

ALSO:
Is it
wide enough
for a lap quilt...
[4.5"x11=49.5"]

{but maybe just borders...}
Hmmmmm

**************************

Now,
for the upper portion
and
lower portion of this quilt.

I know they are soaring
toward
the
MOON..

And I want some kind of log cabin
{over the dark ocean}

or house blocks for the bottom
for them to fly from...
??????
*************************
In the meantime....

I am awaiting a couple light
low volume prints
in the mail..
and
will be searching for
more in the coming weeks...

Hugs from a faraway place,
