I began throwing (well, not actually throwing hahaha)
these CS blocks up on my design wall..
I can just fit the 8 across rows,
but not the other 10 block measurement...
Only 6 down so far ..
So, it's difficult to "SEE"
exactly what is going on..
I had thought using all the dark bordered ones in the central portion
would solve my problem, but as the photo shows there are
significant amounts of turquoise centers to be dealt with
and I hadn't been able to see that in my small room
as I cannot stand far enough away...
.
[I find taking photos before I begin sewing
really shows what is going on colorwise...]
So today will consist of a lot of
RE-ARRANGING
and photo taking....

On the Diamond Painting front:
I've finished
"Girl With Tear"
She was a fun project...
My favorite part is her swirley hair...
although, many very similar colors appear
side-by-side making it difficult
to discern the little number codes.
Next will be to find a frame...

This morning we are on our way to leave off our Subaru
for servicing...so we are both going as Tom
cannot wait inside there these days...
Normally, we would stop for a breakfast out,
but not now--we haven't done restaurants
or take outs and don't plan on
doing so in the near future...

ReplyDeleteThe CS is stunning up on the wall like that, just lovely indeed! Do remember this is a quilt to be used, however, so seeing in flat on the bed is an option too for the design process, as that is how you'll look at it when it's finished.

Blocks are looking great on the wall - now you have the fun of arranging them. And your Tear Girl turned out so nice!
ReplyDeleteDigital cameras are a great help to us, aren't they? How did we ever manage before? We haven't eaten out in months. Funny, I remember my mother and grandmother cooking every meal for months on end when I was little. She was thrilled when a cafeteria came to town. Now I'm cooking all their old recipes myself.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your quilt block layout, Julierose! I know that experience of how you move one or two, and then that makes a few more that have to be switched, and on it goes. The diamond painting is so neat! Do you frame those? We would have done the same thing when taking our car in - go out for breakfast or something. But not this year!
