Today I had PT again...
with much better results...
in that my PT guy
now gets what is going
on with my severe sciatic
problem...
I had a flare up after the previous
PT course of exercises--
not fun!!
I know it is a long process and
am hoping that this
revised course of exercises
and massage and stim
will help...

sewing on my
Falling Leaves project:
Amazing what some 15 minute
sewing sessions can achieve...
I am still cutting solid strips with
Go!Baby cutter in darker colors...

Meanwhile, we are hunkering down
for the hurricane that will
be bearing down on us on Sunday.
We are in a hurricane warning area...

The latest is that the eye of the storm
will pass right over us here on
the CT coast...
👀😵👀
We have extra gas for our generator
and extra water and food....
and are hoping for the best...
We are in an area full of towering older
trees...so if the winds are bad
we worry that the trees will
come down....

we will most likely have lost

We've been having these ferocious storms in southern Michigan- really unusually strong. Last week we joined over 800,000 of our fellow Michiganders with no power for 3 days (some were out for 5). Everyone lost trees, including us. Not fun and unexpected.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the storm. It is aiming at me too. I have prepped like you but haven t dismantled my outdoors yet. Perhaps it will pass us by? It says hurricane here but only 35 mph winds?

I love your hexie finish! Here's hoping that the new PT routine will be the ticket for you to be pain-free again. I know all about severe sciatic pain, mine still flares up occasionally but thankfully not as bad as the original episode. Hoping you can stay safe and not have any tree damage during the storm.

I was just watching the weather forecast and heard your area mentioned. Hopefully the wind won't take down any trees and you might get enough rain to satisfy your bushes and trees over the winter.

Ssshhh don't tell, I use my great grandmother's china (compote) in the bathroom and I am seriously considering making bird feeders out of the teacups and saucers. You have gas,and food, but do you have water, not only drinking, but flushing, washing? Keep safe.
ReplyDeleteI love your depression glass plate and how special that it was your Grandma's. My Mom collected pink depression glass and I always used it for birthdays - so sweet. I hope you do NOT lose power and that all your trees make it through the storm!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found a better PT. It's funny (not really) how some simple exercises can be too much and set every muscle screaming.
Hopefully you weren't flooded by Henri. We've found the best thing to do is stock up and stay home.

Lovely hexies and what a treasure to have that cake plate. Your leaves quilt is really taking shape. I'm sincerely hoping you suffered no damage from that awful hurricane. It looked so bad on the news.
