I have begun stitching the logs on my
Dark Days wonky log cabins...
I did the joining strips first.
⇊⇊⇊⇊
that plain running stitches would be best.
So, darker brown on neutral logs and
medium blues on the darker blue logs...
I want the stitches to show...
And as a bonus,
I even like how the back is looking:

I will continue working on this and on
adding more stitches to my first
block...
stitches on block 1
and then more running
stitches throughout...
Our next prompt will be
this coming Wednesday
when we shall see K3N's method
of joining these two blocks....
I am still debating over
whether to sash or not..

Seeing the back of your project makes me think of the kawandi method. There's something so nice about running stitches.
ReplyDeleteI wish we could walk along our river but the RC is getting more unsteady on his feet and it's dangerous - to say nothing about the homeless that are encamped along it. Not exactly a place people want to walk anymore.
I like the low-volume vibe of the logs and the Ojos. I've missed getting out for walks in the deep-freeze days -- forecast is for 40's this week and I hope to get out and enjoy it.

ReplyDeleteI watched K3N this morning and continue to contemplate my next step. I want to make log cabins but I am not moving on that idea - not sure why.
