I began quilting my Strawberries
early this morning--
What's a girl to do when she wakes up
at 5 a.m.?????
She, of course.....
decides how she wants/needs to quilt
her berries:))))
(Before someone comes along and
eats them hahaha)
Because my appliqued berries' strips
are so wide and the berries are so
large, I figured they'd have to be
quilted down or the planned
echo quilting around them would just
POUFF out those fruits!!
Decided on dark red for the berry
and lighter green for the cap...
I stopped halfway through the cap as
the "HANDS" decided they
were getting tired.

I know this will take a long time--but I
am in no hurry; this is my quilting
project for the foreseeable future...

are all cleared..

ReplyDeleteCurious to know - which way does your window face where you have your cactus? The only choice I have is east so I wonder if it's 'wrong'. Before we moved here I could grow African violets prolifically but not here. They do not like eastern exposure (we had either north or south at the house and they thrived in either one).

5 AM is not ''getting up time''. It is turn over and go back to sleep time. I'd be so depressed if my days started that early. My mom taught us the day does not start til Mr Sunshine is fully up---go back to bed! [which was counterproductive in high school when I had to be at school and in the pool for swim team at 6.30 AM. OMG, so dark, so cold. I didn't swim for at least ten years after that. lol, of topic indeed.]

Your berry looks great. Good for you to stop when your hands were ready to be done for a while.

Oh I do like those strawberries of yours!! Also admiring the blooms on your Christmas Cactus plants, not to mention the delicious striped amaryllis.
