SPIDERWEB EMERGENCE
Here's the first total web--it takes four blocks (16 pieces in all ) for this pattern to emerge...
.
I see that I have to add more oranges to my stash--;--))) aw, too bad--will have to do some more stash enhancement....
I am debating whether to quilt the stars or the webs in "Quilt As You Go" method.
I will sew these four together and back with needlepunch batting and machine quilt this one section by section...Right now the blocks are around 12.5" - 13"...the batting is cut to 13.5"....
AND
I thought I would use some orange thread..and .am leaning toward quilting the stars as they will recede once quilted and the webs will come forward--
What are your thoughts?
Here is my set up for making the blocks to the right of Helga....wedges for webs and extra pieces for the ends.....I will need to cut up a lot more--but for now, this will keep me going
for a while....
Today, We had:
much needed rain--1.4" so far...our house is situated pretty high up, so no flooding for us...and we had our gutters re-done last week so they are able to handle the heavy rains --at least so far!!
For those of you who are interested:
My DH went to his MD appointment this afternoon--he is up for an MRE this month of October to discover what is actually going on.....fingers crossed.......
Hugs to you all, Julierose, La Blageuse (SpiderLady-euse)

STEVEN'S FIRST BLOCK
The first block of Steven's "going away to college" quilt; orange is his favorite color and he is into Math and Music...I love this pattern for spider web. I am using Jenny's tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Co. --my only change is to fold back the wacky web papers so I only have to tear off the centers.....
It's not too baby-ish, ....right???? Let me know your thoughts.....thanks....
Here's a shot of those white with light black prints forming the stars...
there are 4 sections to each block and there will be 5 across, 7 down =ing
35 blocks with 4 sections to each block SOOOO...140 parts to make--
NOW you see why I began early??? He graduates in June 2017....
this gives me enough lead time to gather oranges, and sew s l o w l y.....
I will be joining in with superscrappy tomorrow for the RSC Orange in September
Challenge.....

DANCIN' IN THE RAIN
IT IS RAINING---at long last...I guess my rain dancing worked rotflol!! ;--)))
AND ABOUT TIME---it has been so dry here....
Our trees have begun their Autumnal change.......already--very early for us here on the
Coast...........................
"...in September, in the rain...."
And one lone marigold has survived this heat wave.....I L O V E marigolds!!
AND my ferns are loving this rainy weather.....
and here is my clematis blooming ....
Isn't this lovely?? And it has a great light scent as you brush by it....
We are so thankful for this rainy weather here....our lawn has burnt to a crisp and my basil and parsley are being eaten by some bug that likes hot and humid weather.....
I hope you are enjoying this cooler spell....
Tomorrow is cleaning day for us;
Friday, 9/11 is our 50th Wedding Anniversary --but on Saturday we will be celebrating with friends and family--my children and their spouses are hosting....we get to sit back and enjoy!! So looking forward to a happy gathering-----
hugs to you all

POMS PARADE
I have found myself working in a series--not planned, but I had made so many of these
pomegranates to applique, that I wanted to use them up! and I still have 6 left to set up.
This is the latest configuration--how it will end up is still pending.....perhaps some little birds will happen along to look down on these pom flowers.....
this time I am buttonhole stitching my turned appliques down.
so far, two done...and today being slow stitching Sunday I will continue to sit out on my deck and slowing stitch around while enjoying this wonderfully cool weather we are in the midst of.
I hope you are all enjoying this long Labor Day weekend....hugs,
Julierose, La Blageuse (Pom-euse)
