FAIRIES FINISHED

The 2 Sugar Plum Fairies pictures for Willa and Fiona are done....

This one will be for Fiona

AND

This one will be for Willa...

I just love all those soft colorations in both...;))))

I am hoping to find suitable frames at Michaels...as they are not exact sizes,
I may end up  having to figure out matting options also...something new
to learn....as custom framing would be super $$$-ive....;0000

I haven't really done any framing before--my Mom did all the framing of
stitcheries that we completed...she was really good at it....very precise....

So, this will be a new challenge...and as I have a lot more canvases waiting in
line, I need to learn this skill...
**********************************************************

I plan to frame my lighthouse first as a "learning example":

Stay tuned for my framing experience....
                                                                   hopefully
                                                                happy posts...👵

  12. All beautiful pieces. Many years ago I hand stitched and miss it but thumbs don't cooperate. I only splurged one time on custom framing- it was so worth it. But, I'm sure yours will be well done.

  15. Oh, those are beautiful. I love fairies. Never heard of diamond painting until you started. And you are right...custom framing is expensive. I have a lot of needlepoint and cross stitch and crewel embroidery pieces I made in the 70s and 80s that are in a box in the attic because I couldn't afford framing - even buying frames and mats to do them myself. I did get a couple of ones I loved custom framed and did a couple myself but I stitched a lot back then.
