I was able to utilize the leftover
binding from Willa's quilt for
my table topper;))
So this makes 3 small finishes for January...
[sorry for the dark pix--cloudy again!!]
👌👋👍
YAY ME!!
Here is the reverse of
"I've Never Been To Paris"
I've been hoarding this large
flowery piece for a while now...
It almost fit perfectly--just had to add
a bit on either side...
This table topper is now all
machine stitched along
either side of the long straight seams...

Next up for my own
UFO challenge in 2023
IS:
"Sunny Days"
It is pretty big, so I will
tie this one
Here is a close up of that
lovely watercolor print
The top part of Ojos are
lighter blues and yellows and
the lower section is rich, deeper
blues and bright yellows...
Just like the shifting skies on
a Summer Beach...
I managed to use cut offs
to separate the sections on this one.

Now for a couple days' rest....
{and perhaps an afternoon nap!!}

For sure, Yay you! What a great finish, Julierose. Sunny Days looks great, too. I hope you enjoy your afternoon nap, if you take one. I'm headed for one soon.
ReplyDeleteSunny Days is beautiful. It reminds me of sunny days sitting on a beach watching the boats sail by. The watercolour print is amazing. Lovely finish on your table topper. The backing fabric is a pretty one.
ReplyDeleteYay you! Congrats on the finishes this month! I've finished two cross-stitching projects, that's all. Your table runner is lovely, love the scrappy look, pretty backing too. 'Sunny Days' is so bright and cheerful, love blues and yellows, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on this lovely finish, Julierose. Sunny Days is another beautiful. I love blue and yellow string quilts.
ReplyDeleteThat was a fast finish! Yay! 3 finishes in January and all pretty ones too.
ReplyDeleteI really like your Paris piece - and the blue and yellow sparkles on my computer screen.
ReplyDeleteYour runner finished up nicely. I love the colors in your Sunny Days. You are getting a lot accomplished, Julierose!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on another finish! You're off to a great 2023!!
ReplyDeleteThe Ojos quilts are outstanding, what an artist you are. I love everything about them, the freedom, the color exuberance, the joy, the secret special fabrics to find. You are truly gifted, always with your own vision--such wonderful results.
ReplyDeleteI love that these are being finished and shared, used, now.
REEEally cold weather coming. How I envy that generator you had installed.
love
lizzy
Your table topper is really pretty. I think the lighting is nice for the photo, actually.
ReplyDeleteNice finishes and who doesnt love yellow and blue
ReplyDeleteI love your table topper, congratulations on the finish! The PJ fabric used for the backing is a perfect complement to the colours. Sunny Days does indeed to to be quite a large size, I think you deserve that couple of days rest.
ReplyDeleteWow - you completed the Paris project fast!! Of course I love the blues in both of these. All the bright yellows in Sunny Days make me think of summer.
