SLAB-A-THON, et al

Ten of these slabs/blocks done
so far....
I have more to go in my "slabbing" spot below:
I have enough for for 3 more already sewn
into strips and
plenty of 1.5" strips ready to be sewn.
No idea how many I'll end up with ...

Wash away the rain?"

On the homefront--

My daughter, Candice, is coming down this
afternoon with her new "Friend"
(Jeff, whom we've not met as yet)
to go to a  Concert at McCook Point Park
this evening...
and they will stop by for a visit beforehand.

I went out this morning to market and
got some appetizers to serve.

Our weather has been really superb;
definitely deck sitting weather...
a nice change...

Hugs for a great weekend,
Julierose,

  1. I love your slabbing spot, Julierose. How convenient to have the ironing station within reach. Your batting book front is very pretty. I really like the beading. Enjoy your visit with Candice and Jeff, and also the weekend ahead.

  2. Hi Julierose, I just had a meander in your blog - very cool. I love your cracker box junk journal! It looks like you also love hand-stitching and adding beads. Are you French? I notices the "La Blagueuse" there :-)

  7. I really do like those slabs and look forward to seeing what you end up creating to finish them off.
I've been resting my hands too - have discovered that it's not so wise to think I can crochet three projects using really thick yarn and not pay the price.

  10. We both seem to be using up our scrap bags. Funny how many quilts we can get out of things that could have been tossed. It's a delightful challenge, isn't it. I wish we had deck weather but at least we're getting some rain.
