for the month of February's pages.
I have just finished
basting everything down
and am beginning to
whip stitch the bird
representing love
flying away beyond reach
in the night sky...

prompts this time were:
"Dog and
Friendship."
Here is my interpretation using an
old family photo along with
magazine images,
inks, and a circle stencil.
I used leftover fabric to make the
little tabs that came
from scraps I used under my
machine sewing needle...
hence all the stitching....

This one was a lot of fun to make...
a "happy page" ;)))))
{it's funny that when I first get
the prompts I wonder how in the world I
will be able to use both on one spread...}
This one is a very simple
spread on one page.
The old family photo sits on top of
my prompt card and slips into the
bottom page pocket made from just
folding the edge of my own
teabag stained paper over.

We are watching the Luge Event
in the Olympics right now...
relaxing after a light lunch...
Tonight's dinner will be a
a very simple one:
An omelet with
peppers and onions,
two strips of crisp bacon each
and toast with jam...

Tomorrow noon my
daughter and her SO
are dropping by for lunch with us
after going to a local concert
tonight nearby...
I will be making my own
minnestrone soup,
a green salad, and
serving snowflake rolls
with cheesecake for dessert...
(yummmummmm)
My kind of meal..;))))

Sounds like you're having some enjoyable and yummy days, Julierose! I like seeing what you're doing in your stitching and paper crafting journals. I have those fabric scraps that I use under my needle at times - never would have thought to use them in a journal - you are so creative!

ReplyDeleteI think you do a great job with the prompts, Julierose. Dog and Friendship is well represented on your newest page. I so enjoy having breakfast for dinner. I know it's my imagination but it seems like it taste better at night LOL.

Yes please to Minnestrone soup and cheesecake. =) I've watched the Luge events as well. Oh my goodness....I don't know how they stay upright at those speeds. Is that photo of the little girl with the dog, you, Julierose?? The lovely journal pages just keep on keeping on at your place.
