GEISHA GARDEN "LITTLE", et al

"Geisha Garden" little is all pin basted
and ready to be my next hand quilt...

Such an evocative print..

The reverse features little leftover
blocks and the rest of the
Geisha print fabric...

Here is the next little to be backed
layered up and basted:
"Itsy-Bitsy Spider"
I had a lot of leftover SPider
papers that I originally bought
from Missouri Star quilt Co. to
make my eldest Grandson's
Going Away to College Spider quilt;
and so, I decided to use up
some of them...
I still have quite a pack left..
So another "Spider" piece will
be in the making...

COL: September 30th--
Since all the rain, we have tons of
little mushrooms in our lawns...
I've even spied a squirrel
feasting on one--
Who knew?????

and here is October 1st's entry:
Just a simple leaf floating in the wind......

Both DH and I are feeling a lot better today
after our flu shots on Tuesday of
this week...we both had quite a
reaction and we named Wednesday
as a "Lost Day"...
Just spent it mostly napping and
being generally crabby!!!

I hope you all weathered the
weekend Nor'Easter--
no damage here fortunately--
just a power outage which our
generator, "Jenny" promptly
took care of for us;)))))

Hugs, Julierose,
La Blageuse

  2. Happy Happy October, sweet friend. You are starting the month off with a bang! Geisha's Garden is so pretty. The peachy bloom is gorgeous! Itsy Bitsy Spider is fabulous! I started a spider web quilt years ago- hmmm ... I wonder where I put that UFO. LOL Great new additions to your daily stitch. Love that mushroom. I wish you a lovely day. Hugs

  3. I was thinking of you and hoping the storm didn't cause any issues for you. Sorry the shot wiped out a day for you both. The new quilting project is nice. Love the fabrics.

  6. Geisha Garden is gorgeous. I love the fabrics and the colors. The blocks in Itsy Bitsy Spider look intimidating but again...lovely and those fabrics! Glad you and Tom are feeling better and also that the storm wasn't too terrible for you. Enjoy the weekend, my friend.

  7. Both of those little pieces that you're getting ready to quilt are lovely, Julierose! I especially love the colors in the spider design. That reminds me that I bought some of those papers, too, but haven't used them at all yet. I like how you added the Oct. to your first square for this month. I was thinking about doing that, too! I had a reaction to my flu shot this week, too - that hardly ever happens to me! Fortunately, it didn't last too long.

  8. Still waiting for word that the flu shots are available locally. They're supposed to be ready Ontario-wide but so far I/m not able to book them. They're saying that flu season will be quite early this year so we're hopeful we can get the shots soon.
As always I'm intrigued by your projects!
