Maples turning....

The Seasonal cycle has begun in earnest.

AND
Here's what I am reading
This is pretty good...

"THE WAVE"

I love the colors in this one
A new start....;)))

It is a gray cloudy Saturday morning here;
we are hoping for some

LONG ROWS SEWN (CS)

The 8 longer rows on my
Court House Steps Scrap quilt
are finally sewn together..

This is where I started this morning with short rows of 6 each
↡↡↡

If you click on the 1st photo above
you can see the 10 block rows end up on the floor...
πŸ‘€πŸ‘€
I call this Phase Two
AND
done! ;)))

It took me 2 and one-half hours this morning
to sew two blocks on either end of each row...

So
8 long rows of 10 are sewn...

Now to sew the L O N G rows together..
BUT
I am taking a bit of a break before
tackling that....πŸ‘΅

**************************************
It is 72 degrees here today--a lovely warmish day
I am hoping to sit out on our deck for a bit...

Hope you are having a wonderful day

SEWING ROWS ON COURTHOUSE STEPS, et al

Three "short rows" (6 each)
sewn and trimmed

The next two rows are the Middle rows with all purple centers
I am attempting to work from dark to light
using the centers...
Here is the set up on my wall
I will be adding two blocks to both the top and
bottom of the 6-block rows to make up
the 10 block rows...
Since I couldn't set this up totally on my wall
this is my solution
Of Sorts....;000

****************************
MEANWHILE....

We are awaiting installers for our new LG dishwasher..
they are LATE--no surprise there...
πŸ‘ΏπŸ˜¬

Tom is on "HOLD"
with the usual annoying music...
trying to find out WHEN they are really arriving.

We have been without a dishwasher since end of July!!
And have had to cancel out our first choices
twice as they wouldn't have gotten one to us
until
DECEMBER
oh, and "if by then"...;0000

So, we have been up since 6:20 a.m.--
and we are stuck here
W A I T I N G ...

Don't you just hate that????????

Hope your day is going well

UP ON THE WALL, et al

I began throwing (well, not actually throwing hahaha)
these CS blocks up on my design wall..

I can just fit the 8 across rows,
but not the other 10 block measurement...
Only 6 down so far ..

So, it's difficult to "SEE"
exactly what is going on..

I had thought using all the dark bordered ones in the central portion
would solve my problem, but as the photo shows there are
significant amounts of turquoise centers to be dealt with
and I hadn't been able to see that in my small room
as I cannot stand far enough away...
.
[I find taking photos before I begin sewing
really shows what is going on colorwise...]

So today will consist of  a lot of
RE-ARRANGING
and photo taking....

************************************
On the Diamond Painting front:
I've finished
"Girl With Tear"
She was a fun project...

My favorite part is her swirley hair...
although, many very similar colors appear
side-by-side making it difficult
to discern the little  number codes.

Next will be to find a frame...

**********************************
This morning we are on our way to leave off our Subaru
for servicing...so we are both going as Tom
cannot wait inside there these days...

Normally, we would stop for a breakfast out,
but not now--we haven't done restaurants
or take outs and don't plan on
doing so in the near future...

Take care people, stay safe,
and wear your masks,

BUTTERFLYING TO RIO

Green "Luna" type Butterfly
Awaiting its finish so it can
Fly out to South America

******************************************
Girl With Tear Progress
I have just this little bit left
to do...↓↓↓↓↓
The darker, grayish sections are
left to paint in...
I love her swirley hair here...

*********************************
And speaking of swirley hair, mine has reached epic
length proportions now...mid back!!

Not since I was a little girl
have I had hair this long....
πŸ’‡πŸ’‡πŸ’‡
Are any of you going to hairdressers?
I am still kind of leery...
But pretty soon I will be able to sit on it--
UGH!!
And the perennial questions:

WHAT STYLE?????????
And HOW SHORT?????

***********************************
It has been chilly all week long here...
this morning the early temp was 42
and now it is only 52...
AND
VERY windy
out of the NNE;
it is kind of early for this cold weather here...

I hope your Sunday is a good one

8 x 10

                                             Courthouse Step blocks
                                                                   In no particular order...
                                                                        Just to check on coverage...
                                                                             8 blocks by 10
                                                                                    blocks= 80..,,

Side view...

I have put the blocks in some kind of order by
piling them in "center hourglass" colors...

and
So, Dark purples, Light plaids,
Dark turquoise and
Light turquoise...

Of course, I don't have even numbers of each...
So, I will have to figure out a way to set them..
Either with the lighter colors in the forefront or the
darker ones, or some
kind of variation...
Perhaps darker runs in the central portion and
lighter ones on the edges?

Madam La Zonga "sees" these
on the floor somewhere
to set them up...πŸ™πŸ™ŽπŸ™

It's mind-boggling!!!
P H E W !!

Hugs on a windy, sunny Saturday

3 MORE STEPS

I have added three more Courthouse step blocks to my box;
now there are 77 in all.

I am aiming for 100 ....
So making some progress, but slowly...

A little angel reminder to be vigilant and
stay safe....πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ™‹πŸ˜·
