I REMOVED THE BATIK STRIPS, THINKING THEY WERE TOO GEOMETRIC AND
A BIT ON THE HARSH SIDE :
See ... ↡
Not my style at all....
Soooo....
Instead I put that peach flowery print around and then FOUND more of this surrounding print
in my greens pile...I had forgotten that I had MORE--what a nice surprise....;))):
↡ ↡
And then,
I added that Dark green flowered print (above on the bottom)
YES!!! that's more like it.....
--I will continue the rounds with those two for a bit in courthouse steps style...
(So much for taking a break from sewing, huh?)
and this is.........
My story (and I'm sticking to it!!) :
I was trying to nap, as I hardly slept last night...and this butterfly vision kept swirling around in my brain--I just knew the 1st look wasn't what I truly wanted...just not right...too stark...pretty batik
and nice colors but just not ME!! And I want to make it pretty...;))))))
So,
Now: My lovely butterfly is surrounded by a garden...🌷🌹
How lovely is that thought....especially in this really cold weather brrrrr....
Hugs,
Julierose La blageuse (and....I dream of quilts-euse)
That is some pretty garden fabric for your butterfly to flit around in.
ReplyDeleteGood idea!
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to see more. We have stormy rain today. I went for a walk in it, thrilling.
Good changes and choices.
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteLookin good Julie. Butterflies do love a pretty flower garden to flit around in.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the floral fabrics do make sense and are very pretty! I'm glad to hear that someone else is kept awake at night thinking about quilting--lol!
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of a butterfly block amid lots of floral fabs.
ReplyDeleteNice home for your butterfly. Gives one hope of spring weather.
