SUNDAY'S WOOLIE PROJECT SET UP

               My woolen pieces are all in place and ready for stitching...
            I left out really tiny acorns and a petite corncob...for now anyway

 This is a buttermilk Basin  kit that I've had for a while;
   it will be a change from cross stitching and embroidery
    for me in the evenings.....

  [I may have to cut another moon...this one is from
 the pattern, but I think it looks kinda skimpy ;((((]

  1. I didn't even notice the moon until you mentioned it. Fatten that ole boy up. Glad you didn't add the tiny things - looks good this way.

  2. Very sweet! Were the pieces precut or there was wool and a pattern? I like the moon but it's and easy change too. And oh I d have to have the acorns! Maybe enlarge them a bit?

    love, lizzy

  3. Will you stitch them in place with buttonhole stitch, or something more fancy?

  4. Cute! You have a good eye and I agree with you--that moon is too skinny! Looks good!

  6. You will have fun stitching on this one--and your moon is fine if you like things on the primitive side. Maybe you can just embroider in some acorns and corn? Happy stitching!

  9. This looks so nice! The moon is so small, I had to look for it. I think I'd change it too!

  10. What a fun scene to stitch, Julierose. Will you make the moon bigger or will you change the shape of the moon -- half moon, full moon?
