Here are the first three
fabrics in my hexagon

I will be using all blue
fabrics for the centers.

I am waiting to sew them
together until
I figure out how many I will need
for my project...

This little bluebird
of Spring
makes me smile..

these early Irises
remind me that
Spring is coming...

"April in Paris"
French Script
is the main fabric..

I am making one
per day

This will be a table topper
for my living room
glass top round table...

Other good news:
Tom and I got our 2nd
Vaccine shot today
at CVS.

It is such a relief
to have found an appointment
and gotten this done.

Tom, my computer guru,
been searching online
every day to find
an earlier appointment
for us than April 2nd;
which was the earliest we
had found in our area...

As soon as this shot has become
effective we will be
able to get out and about
a little...
First on his list is

I hope you are all well
staying safe and
wearing your

  1. Your hexagons are going to make a fun tabletopper! So glad to hear you're all set on your vaccines, too. I'm getting my second one in Monday - such a relief!

  2. I had some of that iris fabric and some of the other fabrics from the same line. That one is almost vintage.

  3. Congrats on getting the vaccination. Your hexagons are really fun.

  4. Love the hexagons! I'm so happy to hear you got your vaccine. Are you feeling okay? I feel better not that I'm considered fully immunized. I still take all precautions but I'm not as nervous.

  5. What a delightful mix of fabrics in Hexagonia.

Our health system actually called us to schedule our vaccinations. When we received first shot they scheduled appt. for second on St. Paddy's Day. Our health system ordered enough vaccinations for their patients in tier 1B.

  6. I'm so pleased you have received your vacinations, as you say, soon you can venture out into the big wide world again. Pizza sounds great for a celebration lunch.

  7. How fantastic to have had your second shot! "Normal" life awaits!

    Love your hexies, too.

  8. Glad to hear you were able to get a timely vaccine! Love the QAYG hexies!

  9. Your table topper is going to be beautiful--I especially love that fussy cut bird! We've had both our shots, but still are being very careful and masking up. I think once the weather here is nicer we will start to get out more--it's a little worrisome!

  10. Congratulations on your vaccines. I'm getting my first one in a week, but everything here is shut, so it won't really make much difference. I have often wondered about QAYG hexies so this will be a cool project to follow. You have a pretty start.

  11. Yea! Hope you are both feeling ok. Your blue hexagons are just beautiful.

  12. Good to hear you're all ready to face the world again soon!! You have lovely pieces of fabric in your hexagon, the iris is especially pretty.

  13. I had that iris blockprint fabric . . . love the French text. Hooray for you vaccinations!
