JOY TIMES TWO, et al

I started my 2nd Joy Banner
stoday...

I found that  bare trees fabric
from an old Ghastlie line
in my deep stash...
[click above to see the pretty
snowflake batik

:)))

And I set up
↓↓↓
" O "

{"O Tannenbaum" was
running through my
head while I set
this up}

I have this set up on an old plastic
serving tray with an orange pattern
so it looks a bit strange...

but it is more in the mint green
 turquoise color range...

*********************
This morning,
my πŸ‘΄Sweet Baboo πŸ‘΄ took
me for a ride to get out....;)))
BUT
unfortunately we spent 35 minutes in
a traffic jam because of road work
AND
πŸ‘ΏπŸ‘Ή
because of
those people who wouldn't pull
over and wait--they had to
push their way ahead of
us all to the very end of the closed
lane--so
ANNOYING!!
(comments deleted!!)

But a bonus was that
our trees were in their
glorious Fall clothing
and just beautiful...
I felt my spirits rise
just looking at them...πŸ‘΅

**********************

I got this lovely
Amaryllis kit--
so tomorrow I will
get this planted...
How pretty is this one...
πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

****************************
And.....
⇩⇩⇩
Here is my new setup
for printed cross stitching
with clamp-on
MAGNIFIER:
πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€
So very much easier to see...
for this ancient one's eyes..

I am making slow progress on
this piece....

**********************
I want to
thank you all
for sending me good
wishes
 for my recovery:
In that vein I
will report---
that
Today I was able to
walk the grocery aisles
holding the cart without
pain--;))))

The only problem was
standing and waiting in line...
ooof-dah
that part still hurt!!

But I think I am finally beginning
to see improvement...
perhaps turning the
corner...

Hugs,

  2. Sometimes getting out for a drive (traffic jam notwithstanding) is just what's needed. And that amaryllis is going to be a stunner! I think I might just buy myself one this year.

  3. Looks like a great start to JOY. Nice that you could get out. That's good about the grocery store but I wish they'd let you skip ahead in line! Some problems are invisible though - usually pain is one of those. I hope you steadily improve and before long won't have that pain!

  4. Those are fun fabrics for your second JOY.
It's lovely that you were able to get out for a ride and it must have felt great to be able to walk behind a grocery cart without pain. So sorry the standing was painful, though.

  8. Oh how cool that you are making another Joy banner. Glad your back is feeling a wee bit better. Oh the frustration dealing with people who won't get over.

  9. Grocery shopping, like you I'm fine walking around, but standing in line still upsets my back too. It must be nice to get out and about again, even for a short trip, to blow the cobwebs away and see a little of the outside world.

  13. I am very glad to hear that you are improving and able to enjoy your trips out. Most of the leaves are one from our trees now, but yours sound just beautiful. I like the start you have made on JOY - it's definitely a project worth repeating.

  14. I love Amaryllis plants and especially the rich red ones, hope you'll be posting photos when it flowers - please. Grocery carts are very handy indeed for giving support when walking, pity you couldn't just scoot through the checkout quickly.
