My Winter Cabin

BUT NOT QUITE---

My hands are very tired
and so sore from
stitching-- so I will be taking
time to let them rest..
to be stitched down that
will have to wait...
I HATE 👿👿👿
having to stop
when it's JUST
about done...
But if I don't, I will
be out of commission
for a long time...

and evening with a
Southeasterly wind
and temps in the mid 60's.
We do need the rain

Tom helped me to make my chicken and rice
casserole for tonight's dinner--
he did the chopping and the
dishes..💋💗
He is a gem...
It will be a good
meal for a rainy,
damp evening...
I hope you are all enjoying this last
gasp of warmer weather..

ReplyDeleteNot much rain here but early dark and cloudy.Maybe I will warm up the house by baking some delicata squash rings to go w the casserole I made. And also must go chop apples for my odd but much loved fall salad, a trad "Waldorf", aples, walnuts, cranberries, celery. I'll add some goat cheese maybe? Yum for all fall foods.

ps we should ask for warm paraffin wax manicure gadgets for Xmas, the warm wax is so nice on sore hands I am told.

ReplyDeleteI know all about visitations of Arthur to hands. Mine are usually painful the entire winter and especially so when I have to be outside (particularly clearing snow off our car). Gotta love Arthur!!
I hope you get enough rain from the storm. The warm weather has passed by us now and we will be down to 40s for highs on Mon. and Tues.

ReplyDeleteCabin coming along nicely. Sorry to hear about your hands. I have a main knuckle that acts up from time to time. Do you think the rainy weather has anything to do with it. I have a friend who says low cloud cover gives her headaches. Rest of course is important too. Take Care!

ReplyDeleteOh, that is darling! I'm sorry about the hand issues. I had to take a break the other day when machine quilting was aggravating a trigger thumb issue. I've also gotten some Dupuytren's nodules on the right palm this past year, so I kinda feel like a ticking time bomb. Hope it feels better after a break Hugs!
