on each post--at night they just glow
and really do look like flames!!

After yesterday's post--
here are the 3 I have finally
chosen to work on...
Early this morning, before I ventured out
into our frigid weather (Brrr 6 windchill),
I found what I think can be the backings for the
Christmas Strawberries
16" wide tablerunner.
The rest of the red berries print used on the front
and this lovely leftover Christmas landscape
I found at the bottom of my Christmas box...
I am going for Christmassy prints as
these Strawberries do look like
Christmas in their reds and greens...
to me...
I hope to sew this backing together
and layer
this up
this afternoon...

us a chicken dinner with
all the fixins'--
[I cheated by purchasing
a pre-cooked bird just
big enough for the two
of us with enough left
over for sandwiches
tomorrow...]

COLD with snow flurries here - the "big" one is due to arrive Friday (we shall see - too often they tell us it will be 6-8 inches and we barely get an inch - maybe this time . . . ). As to your WIPs, choosing a small group like your three is the best way to move forward! Pretty Christmas runner and I love what you did with the blue Ojos.

ReplyDeleteThe snow is so pretty and I love your lights. My neighbor put out these LED/ solar ''seed'' lights, like a droopy dandelion heads? I haven't seen him to ask what they're called but they might really improve my sad dark winter deck.

Dinner sounds tasty and warming. Very windy here! The vibration knocked down one of my blue and white platters and two lovely white ironstone pitchers just now. Nothing broke, so that s ok. I simplified the display.

We had a nice dusting of snow this morning. It has mostly melted now. We are forecast to have an "interesting" weekend. You've selected some nice backing fabric. Again, I'm happy to see you sewing.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I missed out. The mountains to the east got lots of snow and we. . . across the valley just got rain. I shouldn't complain. They are no icy roads and snow to shovel. I'll just enjoy the sunshine. So glad your cactus plants are starting to bud. It's the small things that sometimes give me the most joy.
ReplyDeleteWe had a little snow here for Christmas but it's all gone. It certainly feels cold enough to snow! I love that Christmas landscape fabric. So pretty! I like using pre-cooked chicken from the marker. It comes in handy! My Christmas cactus hasn't bloomed but I see a few little buds trying to push through! Better late than never!

ReplyDeleteThat sounds cold! BRRR! I don't envy you the snow, even if it looks beautiful, especially with the garden light. Hot & humid here. Great projects you have decided to finish. The landscape backing fabric is really cute. Love your other WIPs too. My late mom always had Christmas cacti, it was huge and it always gave a lot of flowers. They are so pretty. Happy quilting!
