👹STRAWBERRIES UN-PICKING...👿
I began doing this hand quilting two days ago....
B U T .......
When I turned the pice
over
the whole backing was
all bunched up!!
This has never happened to me before...
👾
So this morning I began
taking out all the 3 rows
I had done...
luckily I caught it early on...
cutting out behind the appliqued pieces....
I think maybe that extra fabric
behind the appliques
had something to do with it
And....
perhaps I wasn't careful enough
with the pinning.?????

Here is my interpretation of
#Hillside Heart Prompts for this
week--which are:
"Playful"
and
"Singing in the Rain"
{you can click to enlarge any pix}
[see orchestra on the right]
and The tenor (L)
brought his kitty
with her umbrella
to listen...
😂
Across the street
these skaters are
groovin'
to the music...
and don't mind
skating in the rain...
😁💦
[that's my story and I am
sticking with it haha]
These were difficult prompts
for me--it took me quite a
while to even marshal
my thoughts into what I
would use from my
magazines...
I couldn't find any
rainy day pix
rainy day pix
so I used my white
gel pen to draw
raindrops and puddles..
what fun!!!
****************************
My Junque Journal's next pages
are set up:
I put in quite a few journaling cards
so that I can take a little page prep
break....
******************************
We are having a lovely, soft, and wet snowfall this
morning --
covering everything into
little mounds...
So pretty.....
************************************
Tom is making his
spaghetti sauce today
so no cooking for me...
😉😋😍
I will just toss a little side
salad for us to go with....

Not able to finish any recent books--i just lost interest in the characters...mostly reading blogs....;)))
ReplyDeleteMust be something in the air because I've been doing more than my fair share of unpicking the past while. The border on the latest landscape has been giving me fits so I've decided to cut the entire thing off and simply bind it with some bias tape. After three tries, I think it's time!
ReplyDeleteLove the roller blading illustration you found!
I've also had to rip out a lot of stitches on Alaska. Maybe it's the time of year?? After the holidays and we're tired?? Our snow was very fluffy and it's still snowing! This is a good day to stay inside.
ReplyDelete'Tis such a pain when the backing fabric bunches up while quilting. Preparing a quilt for quilting is my least favourite part of the process. You are having fun with all your pictures. I like how you resolved the rainy day prompt. Cool roller bladers, too.
ReplyDeleteOh my, frustrating! I'm machine quilting a piece and holding my breath to try and avoid any bunching. Did you baste the berries in place? Enjoy the spaghetti.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Sorry about the bunching on the quilt. Dinner sounds yummy. Enjoy the pretty snow.
ReplyDeleteThe Hillside Heart prompt turned out great. It brought a smile to my face.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the bunching. It's so irritating when it happens. Maybe iron and thread baste before quilting? Love your journaling, it looks like such fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you caught the bunching before you got too far into quilting. You've been very creative with the journal pages as well. We had snow over the weekend and I made chili.
