I HAVE A HOLE IN MY BLUES

REALLY!!!!!! RSC15 FOR JANUARY ASKS FOR THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD BLUES;

I HAVE NO MEDIUM BLUES....THIS IS THE BEST I COULD FIND!!!! AND, AS YOU CAN SEE, THERE ARE TEALISH-BLUES IN THERE,TOO.....That astrological print (5th from the right) is the type of blue I was thinking of....

I GUESS I'VE MADE A LOT OF BLUE QUILTS--SO THESE "SORT-OF" BLUES..ARE WHAT WILL BE USED.

ALL THE REST ARE VERY DARK OR VERY LIGHT --even in my stash!!!

And I have declared 2015 as a Total No-Buy Year (stay tuned to see if  when I cave --LOL)

What can I say...it'll be different!!
So what else is new...;--000

Hugs to all of you RSC15-ers--I am off to cut some strips with GO!BABY...that's a little preview hint of what I will be making......lol

THE ONE I DIDN'T LIKE!!

REMEMBER ME??? MY MOMMY DIDN'T LIKE ME SO MUCH WHEN SHE FINISHED....
(OH MY GOSH, ANOTHER QUILT THAT TALKS TO ME...)

(I am attempting to sew these 17.5" blocks (+ or minus-- hehehe) together; these were the dark scraps and strings I made along with my Sea Glass piece which I love and am now cuddling under...)

Here is the border I am going to use...and

here is what came out to see us today--Mr. Sun--YAY and here are a few of the other scraps inside me..(I don't know why Mommy has taken such a dislike to me with all these cute scraps!!)

You know him, right? AND
are all of yours eaten up yet????
(Closing the sewing room door--and she's still talking.....)

Here at long last is:
an off market 1/4" edge piecing.......................... that FITS!!

It has been a busy time of family, grand-dog sitting, traveling in the terrible pea soup fog and rain and eating and oh, did I mention eating????Aaaaargh..

and, we are really enjoying the calm that comes AFTER CHRISTMAS.

I got lovely gifts (which I will write about in the future) -- right now is "snappy-nap" time for
les grandparents.
Hope to sew the last row of those huge (I still don't really like them much) blocks together--they are a sort of "I Spy" I guess--I can't even come up with a name--so unlike moi,.....
I hope you are having a relaxing weekend....
Hugs to you all

THANK YOU , KAREN

SEE THE  WONDERFUL LITTLE GIFT I RECEIVED IN THE MAIL TODAY FROM KAREN--
I DON'T OWN A THREAD CATCHER ( my DH will be thrilled as he says our house is covered in threads!!lol).
It's such a cute little piece-(-sorry for the dark picture--another gray and gloomy day here and raining AGAIN!!  But this put a smile on my face ;--)))

Thank you so much for your thoughtful gift, Karen.  I will think of you each time I deposit threads!
Hugs Julierose La Blageuse heureuse!

WELCOME, WINTER SOLSTICE !

                                           SLEIGH BELLS RING!

I started quilting this afternoon...got 1st half of width done before my shoulder began
complaining...I am straight (well, sort of lol) line quilting on every other row across and then the same on the length.  ;--)))

HELGA is a fantastic quilting machine!!! I cannot say enough at how smoothly and evenly
she quilts.  (Red thread on squares side and variegated green on back....yummy!!)  I am excited!!

My Monet's City is moving outward to include  suburbia-- lol--the waterways and lilies and trees:

I have it set up on my living room floor on my old sweater blocking board--trying this and that...

So far:      I first need to sew those white french writing strips on and then the rosettes...
I took photos so I can remember how it'll go together....
Now it is Tea Time....
Hugs on this last weekend of Fall...take a deep breath.....relax.....
