In our family this is called "American Chop Suey" and it is delish...
The patient  requested this for our dinner tonight...;~))) .

It is a mix of browned ground sirloin [with any xtra fat drained off],
macaroni(cooked ahead al dente about 5 min.-- as it finishes cooking in the pan),
onions, one can of diced tomatoes, a bay leaf, pinch of basil and tarragon, and extra tomato sauce or water if it gets too thick--as it simmers for about 1.5 hours. )

Both my Grand-mere and my Mom made this on a regular basis...all we add is a
garlic bread and we are good to go...

I hope your Sunday dinner is delightful--we are not football fans so we will be watching
something on Acorn tv this evening...with our tummies full of yummy-ness....😋.

  1. Sounds delish. Thanks for the recipe. We're not much for football either, so it's Alaska the Last Frontier for us. Have a Super Bowl (of American Chop Suey).

  2. Glad hubby is doing well enough to eat! It looks very yummy! Well wishes to you both and may hubby continue to heal! Hugs!

  3. My mother-in-law always made this for my husband. It was always one of his favorites. Brings back memories!

  4. we always had ACS in our house...it's one of my fave dishes...
