I spent the morning catching up on
household chores and making these
to go with our BBQ-ed
Steak dinner tonight...
Y U M !!!
I know this sounds ridiculous
but.....
I am so happy to be able
to work around
the house once again
without pain most days...

I ended up machine quilting
Autumn Stars--with
straight lines on the vertical
and horizontal seams..
I will try to just hand quilt
around the blue stars
but after doing just one yesterday
my hand seized up once more...
Soooo
back to wearing this
I will try a bit of handwork
while wearing this, but just typing here
hurts, so it'll be awhile....

Our 58th Wedding Anniversary
is tomorrow
[I know, don't ask!!]
and for my present Tom got me
this lovely item:
A Canon Ivy 2 printer that
prints photos off my phone
:)))))))))))
I am just thrilled with it!
It works so well and the little
photos are 2"x3"
just perfect for my
Junque Journal pages...
He got a new laptop with
a wonderful 15" screen...
Great for our aging 👀👀.

We're hoping for a rainstorm out here in Colorado this afternoon, too. Your hand stitching on the star quilt is lovely! I hope your hand cooperates and feels good. Those little printers look really handy! A friend here has one and uses it for all her scrapbooking.
ReplyDeleteAging is no fun, but the alternative is so much worse! We just celebrated 42; had it been my first marriage it would be 57. My viewpoint is any day above ground is a GOOD day!

You didn't say what has helped you overcome the pain? I have gotten so I dread each painful day now.
We had a brief downpour, passed but now very humid. I plan to prep handwork in case of Hurricane Lee even tho I am reassured it will not come.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry that your hand is sore after only one star. I love the header on your quilt. It adds so much interest. I can't even imagine those temps and humidity levels. I guess you have to have the bad days so you can appreciate when the weather is nice. That's a spiffy little printer - how fun! Have a great anniversary tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWe need the rain too and hope to get some tomorrow. Its 81 degrees here but only 55 dew point. Last day of our county fair so they should have record attendance.
ReplyDeleteOur temps are not so hot just now but the water looks so inviting. But we have had hot and muggy with dew points as high as yours this summer. I'm so thankful for central air and that I don't usually need to be out in the heat. I hope it cools off for you soon.
