THE BLAHS ARE VISITING ME
see this grey, grayness........................................................
WELL..............I think that is my mind set right now.
NOTHING looks right to me. S I G H.....
Not one thing I'm working on excites me........... those dreaded
B L A H S....have come to stay..............who know for how long? And.........
will they every leave me????...........qien sabe? who knows....
I have been eating lo-carb for just under 4 weeks now and have lost 13 lbs---with much preparation and cooking for EVERY meal; I am very happy about the loss of
girth(!!) but am just a bit tired, I think.
It's time for a little blog break and time to read, walk, and CLEAN MY HOUSE for WINTER--like
the CELLAR--AAARRGGHH!!
So, mes amies, I will be: AWOL for a bit....as ever, Julierose La Blageuse avec ennui.....

FINALLY--A MOONSCAPE
Our moon was very bright last night here and inspired me to work on my Moonscape;
As you can see, I really pared it down...compared to my last post--it just looked too busy.....SO---just two little black and white strips on the sides and then light grey-to -black border
I am hooking up with RSC13 this morning...am planning the reverse side now....
Have a wonderful Saturday..Julierose, La Blageuse

MOONSCAPE --LATEST VERSION/ FI ONA IS TWO
As you can see I am still moving things around on my wall here.................
Trying to lighten up this piece a bit and still maintain the look of a Moonscape.
I like that old batik on the bottom a lot, but I feel it still needs "something:....and I don't know about those dark blue blocks....sighhhhhh.....................
I like this left portion tho'......................................................... and ....
These are set up to become strip sets to be cut into to see if I can do better.....hooking up to RSC13 for tomorrow............
In the meantime here are a few shots of Fiona's 2nd birthday party---she doesn't need ANY tweaking at all (LOL):
(Daddy's helping)
Yummy!! I do like cake--
Ready, set, blow em' out........................................................................
But.....they are soooo pretty............................
Don't you love my piggy tails....oooh what's in here...maybe "Barbie"......
A terrific time was had by all and "Barbie & Ken" were the big hit in their jeep
and pool---Man have times changed--I was certainly older when I had Barbies....
A final picture--I think 'Kota wanted my hubster to stay put....
A totally wonderful day...................hugs, Julierose, La blageuse

A FIRST ON FRIDAY
Here is my first ever pillowcase with enclosed seams--the "burrito" method is amazing! This will be for my grandson Steven (13) who plays alto sax with his high school jazz band and loves the color ORANGE!!!!
I have never done enclosed seams before or do I ever do much "utility" quilting. I was so surprised at how easily this went for me....even Helga approves...the only problem was with the final end seam: to sew over the first enclosed seam was pretty bulky...maybe there's a trick to that, too...Dawn are you reading this????
I've had this music fabric for years and could never find a way to use it w/o cutting it all up!
It is super soft...don't even remember where or when (isn't that a song??? hahaha) I bought it.
I am just hoping that the grandson doesn't think it is kind of silly.....we'll see.....his birthday is coming up on Nov 23rd.....fingers crossed (cause if he likes it, then the other 3 will want some, too!!)
And here's that landscape-y border from another print that's eons old....I have SO much of this stuff.
This made my day--hugs, have a superior weekend, Julierose, La Blageuse (first-timer)
