More BUTTERFLY rounds....
on my S L O W Holiday project
I am only working on this one thing...
The Left border 4 patches have been sewn together (I had to use just a 2-patch to make the
length on the side....) but not yet attached...
And the right side ones are to be sewn tomorrow.
I need to rest my hand as it is
for
the day...;000
.After this, my next decision will be whether to stay with the dark green garden fabric strips or not--
Adding borders a bit at a time....20 minutes of sewing/cutting intervals...then resting

This afternoon I will be watching the Patriots v. Miami Dolphins--(we are Patriot fans here).
And maybe indulging in a few Cape Cod Chips--ya think??? lol

Here is my surprise Amaryllis--the package gave no indication as to the color.....
Looks like I may get 3 {;))) } flowers from this one...it sits on my bookcase right next to my tv
watching recliner...
The tag does show red--but then, all the tags were a generic representation
of an amaryllis..with no name or directions...fingers crossed ...a surprise is nice...right?

ReplyDeleteYour butterfly quilt is coming out great! I hope you rest your hand! I have a knee that's acting up. I walk a lot everyday and I think it gets irritated. Please post a picture of your amaryllis when it blooms. They're so pretty! Enjoy the Pats!

ReplyDeleteA good idea to have the butterfly surrounded by Courthouse Steps, lots of florals, perfect for a butterfly. You're lucky having three amaryllis buds on your plant, I've seen them in the shops but usually small plants and only one shoot. Oh, sorry about the hand - the splint looks familiar!!!!

ReplyDeleteThe Patriots! Yes, my daughter and her husband and kids are big Patriot fans.
ReplyDeleteThey live in New Hampshire, does that have something to do with it? They're so cute, they all get their Patriot sweaters, shirts, hats etc on for game days.
When I stayed with them over the winter I had a Patriot winter scarf that I wore all the time, fun.

ReplyDeletethis is SO pretty. I hope I remember how you did it when and if I ever do my garden quilt. I've been collecting floral fabrics a while now. This is the best way to showcase the pretty paper piecing, and the courthouse steps with the checkerboard of the two fabrics is very effective! Thanks for sharing it Julierose. Now rest your hand. My PT would say, put a cold pack on it, and your neck is likely involved with hand pain, so rest it too.
