I have moved on to my
smallest squares of papers now
only 3.5".
Along with these leftover triangles
(from a failed Broken Dishes project...)
which make perfect corners for my
Desert Ojos...
I just cannot seem to stop making these string blocks, people!
I keep on telling myself ............
it's time to move onto another project--
and then, BAM! 💫💣👀👀
I sit down at my machine and those little squares
just jump under my needle..
Perhaps this "EYE" has cast its spell over me.
It sits on my shelf overlooking my machine....
[Conjuring up images of Desert Palms,
Oases, Arabian horses,
shimmering sands....]
And so it goes....
hugs, Julierose,
La Blageuse (dreaming of desert nights-euse)

I love the colours of your desert dreams!
ReplyDeleteYour little strings look fun. Sometimes a project grabs us and doesnt let go. Mine is chandelier blocks. Cant get away from them
ReplyDeleteWow! 3.5 inches? Do you have a plan for what you are going to do with these? You probably already blogged about that and I somehow missed it.
ReplyDeleteYummy!

I imagine the string blocks are very quick and satisfying to make. I need to do some scrap organizing and then give strings a try.
ReplyDeleteYour little string blocks are beautiful, I can understand why you want more!
ReplyDeleteI really like the colours on these little string blocks. I think I feel the same about my Mile a Minute blocks, I could sew them forever, mindless therapeutic sewing.
ReplyDeleteThose really do look like desert colors. I have not been working on string blocks but have been seeing them on so many blogs. Makes me want to start a string project but I have too many applique projects in process to start the piecing.
