Here are my prolific hydrangeas reaching up through our deck balustrades...
Our deck is 7 steps above ground, so they are really high. I had cut this
baby almost to the ground last Fall and it just shot right back up...
the only drawback is that it attracts too many bees!

ReplyDeleteI have a turkey block in my mind that I think about every year. I wonder if I'll really ever make it, I like to think so. You're making good progress on your quilting. That always feels good. I love the soft colors of the cathedral window piece. You've found the perfect display for it. I like that quilt too. It's a simple straight-forward design but the red sashing squares really make it shine. The strips aren't all the same width so it adds a lot of interest.

ReplyDeleteSuch pretty shells, and even more special as they were collected by your mother. I have a small shell collection in the bathroom. And yes, you definitely should get on with making your own turkey!
ReplyDeleteThank you for providing a food source for the bees. They may be annoying around your deck at times, but they need all the help they can get. I like your cathedral window topper. I've always wanted to do one, so maybe I should think small instead of quilt size.

ReplyDeleteI have looked for seaglass in vain in this part of the world. The only glass I've found is dark brown (from beer bottles), no pretty blues and greens.
